He did both of my sons torn ACLs in both knees a year apart. He is the best.

My son was medical misdiagnosed by Jason Nielson . Before all of this happen my son was walking in arm crutches and everything. With Dr. Nielson neglected behavior and his ignorance my son is wheelchair bound learning how to walk again . He developed kidney stones because of Dr. Nielson neglect .

I want to preface this by saying Ive worked in healthcare for the last 15 years. Im not just an angry mom or an angry patient My daughter WAS a softball player who went to Nielson with a very simple issue from a softball injury. He botched her surgery, he destroyed her knee and her life. she hasnt been able to play in years and is now preparing for her 3rd surgery. A friend of hers had surgery with him also he also had to have a 2nd surgery to repair his knee, his license should revoked. This man should not be practicing medicine.

The Dr has no respect for the child in pain. He did a quick search on line and printed out a recommendation without ever evaluating the patient. He said he based his judgement on the few questions he asked. His bedside manor is more suitable for animals.

Absolutely no respect for a child’s pain. Told our daughter that the knee brace that make her knee feel normal is “just a placebo and holds no benefit. Printed off some exercises from the web for her to do and told her she can watch videos online of how to do them...would not take the tile to explain but did take the time to charge $300 for literally 5 minutes of his time. There are many of docs in Vegas. Choose wisely!

Dr. Nielsen is an extremely skilled and competent surgeon. My 12-year-old tore his ACL just prior to us moving to Vegas and I was thrilled to find Dr. Nielsen when we arrived. He did a beautiful job on my son and I felt totally at ease throughout the procedure and afterward with him in Dr. Nielsen’s care. I will say that he is incredibly busy and thus his interactions for follow-ups must be limited to the clinically necessary information and that could be interpreted as “dry” by some. He explains what you need to know and makes sure you have opportunities to ask questions. I have nothing but good things to say.

My wife, who is also a physician, and myself, a psychologist, could not be any happier with Dr. Nielson in how he treated our son and his torn ACL. We actually waited to travel from Texas to Las Vegas so that Dr. Nielson could perform the surgery. His expertise to both of us was quite clear and precise. It was wonderful having a physician who had the skill and confidence that Dr, Nielson has. We only trust certain people with both of our children, and we knew the minute we spoke with Dr. Nielson that his expertise, Harvard trained fellowship and commitment to excellence would ensure that our son received the best care possible. We were not disappointed. We highly recommend Dr. Nielson without any reservation!
