My son is diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis. The treatment for this rare disease is IVIG infusions that are needed on a monthly basis. This disease is devastating and complicated. It’s also a very misunderstood diagnosis. Not for Dr. Lowe! From the very first visit with Dr. Lowe we knew that we were in great hands. Dr. Lowe provided a treatment plan and was very transparent about the process of treating this horrible disease. Dr. Lowe and his staff have been along side with us as we navigate this heartbreaking journey. We finally have hope that our son will regain his health. Dr. Lowe has been a crucial piece to our son’s healing. The time and effort that the doctor and his staff have given us, is priceless. It’s very rare to experience the compassion, professionalism and guidance we are receiving from Dr. Lowe and his staff. There is not enough words or star ratings to express how grateful we are to Dr. Lowe and his staff. The best Rheumatologist hands down and we 100% recommend him to any parent searching for the best healthcare for their child.

I have received the most amazing customer service and my son hasn't been seen yet. I called in a panic and Beatrice was so kind and helpful. She explained to me that since it's such a wait to get seen (Dr Lowe being the only pediatric Rheumatologist in the valley) she was going to have him look over the referral for me and see if it justifies being seen soon. It made me feel at ease knowing the provider will look over all his blood work prior to being seen. Thank you Beatrice for going above and beyond for this nervous mother!

He checked everything and explained everything perfectly. I haven't seen a doctor this good who spends the necessary amount of time explaining. Very rare in Vegas. The staff was amazing too

We did not have a good experience with my son's care under Dr. Lowe. I believe Dr. Lowe over treated him from the start while his illness was in remission. He insisted he take double the dose of what is the standard literature recommended treatment. During my sons flare up a few months later, my son was given way more medication than was needed, we believe. Dr. Lowe insisted that we continue some very strong medications which weren't even treating the flare up and should have been held. My child was never advised to take any preventative medication to minimize risks of infections. Shortly after this onslaught of drugs, my son got a serious infection and spent three months in the ICU intubated (missed a lot of special times), almost died and was life flighted across country for a lung transplant which he fortunately was able to avoid due to actual good medical care. Unfortunately he may life long health issues from complications. Every rheumatologist I have spoken too (at least 6) since has had issues with all the medication that Dr. Lowe prescribed. As a medical professional myself, I now see in hind site what he was doing was not safe, normal protocol or even necessary. When I questioned his treatments and informed him of what another doctor was telling us, he was very rude and even hostile at me - even after all the physical emotional and financial suffering I believe his unorthodox treatment caused our entire family. I basically would be cautious if you still chose to see him - just learn from our experience. If it seems he is too generous with the medications - get another opinion. Trust your instincts. Btw his staff/MA Rosie at the time was lovely and his bed side manner is normal. But beware of his clinical skills and all the expertise he says he has.

Dr Lowe explained everything in detail and took the right amount of time to do so. Amazing doctor and staff ! We need more like this in Vegas.

I travel all the way from Reno and what an amazing doctor my daughter is only 2 years old and he was so kind and patient with her. She's has been through a lot the past 5 months and he took the time to explain everything to me and I left the office feeling like I knew what was going on and what to do. A very kind an caring man and no matter what time I call day or night he always answer my questions. Would definitely recommend for anyone with JRA to see doctor Lowe!!!!
