List of Aaron Bertalmio's Reviews
He is the best Doctor I have ever been to. He always takes the time to talk things over with me, see how I feel about what is going on with me and my meds. I never feel rushed during my visits.
Dr. Bertalmio is probably the best doctor I have seen in the last 10 years. He is very knowledgeable and honestly cares about his patients.
I had recently been admitted to the ER for seizures and the ER doc told me to get an appointment with a "general practitioner" quickly; I needed to be referred to various medical professionals and specialists who took my medical insurance (I needed labs done, an MRI, an EEG, and a referral to an Epileptologist). My regular doctor was booked so I went to see this guy. His initial examination seemed rushed and impersonal. It did not seem like he reviewed my charts prior to my visit. (I had been in the ER just a few days prior). His overall demeanor was cocky and arrogant, and not in a brilliant "Doogie Howser" sort of way, more like the self absorbed and unyielding Gregory "House" fashion... without the years of experience and knowledge to back it up. I had not even fully explained my medical history or the things I needed to accomplish during my visit when he started pushing a diagnosis on me that I needed a C-PAP machine and then he exclaims "OPA!" as if to celebrate his amazing medical prowess. I was having a variety of different types of seizures that could kill me or do serious damage to my brain and he was acting more like a waiter in some greek restaurant than a medical doctor. I half expected him to smash a plate and start dancing around the room. I have a very serious medical condition, well beyond his expertise. All I needed was his full attention, empathy cooperation and referrals. Instead of that he tried to push a C-PAP machine on me. He showed just how out of touch he was when I mentioned I was considering using medicinal cannabis high in CBD's and low in THC. Then he proceeded to try and lecture me, in a demeaning way, about how there was no medical evidence that cannabis could help and the thousands of studies that prove it can be beneficial are all just conspiracy and conjecture. I walked out of his office. In fact, I recently requested a copy of my medical records and looked up my office visit with him. THE DOCTOR STRAIGHT UP LIED IN HIS COMMENTS AND TRIED TO IMPUGN MY CHARACTER AND MY HONOR BY MAKING FALSE AND MISLEADING REMARKS IN ORDER TO COVER UP HIS OWN LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. My lawyer thinks I should sue him for defamation of character.
Dr. B is the best dr. ever he has been my dr for 3-4 years and he is very knowledgeable, kind and all around great Dr. If I didn't have to I would never leave him.
Dr. B is a fine GP, punctual, personal, a good doctor...
I was very skeptical when he first came to the practice cause he was so young. Bed side manner is great listens to everything you have to say. Always give a couple different options to solve what's going on. I highly recommend him as a doctor you couldn't find a better one. I was very disappointed when they didn't take my insurance so I had to stop seeing him. The staff is always very helpful and delightful. Anything I requested they helped me and got it done.
Dr. B is one of the most kind, caring physicians I know. I'm in the medical field so I know quite a few. He's a great listener and addresses all my concerns and treats me with the utmost respect.
He was our family physician and seemed to be ok. But after awhile he seemed to be less interested. I was his patient since he moved to Reno. But I began to feel he didn't take me seriously. I went to see him with symptoms of fluid retention in the legs and ankles this went on for two years. I was concerned about congestive heart failure, but he wouldn't do any tests. He told me to go home and put my feet up. Then my ankles got HUGE, I was having difficulty breathing, developed pneumonia and was horribly weak and tired. He prescribed an antibiotic that had a warning label that it might be FATAL if you have HEP C. Dr. B knew that I contracted HEP C from a blood transfusion. It's all over my records. But he didn't know that antibiotic could kill me. I finally changed doctors and was immediately hospitalized for liver failure. I'm now on a waiting list for a liver transplant. If I were still with Dr. B, I'd probably be dead!
He seems to be always in a hurry. Also he is not very personable.
I have had a family member pushed to the brink of a suicidal crises by this so-called doctor. Physician, do no harm! Shame on him! He needs to update his training and stop trying to treat behavioral health issues or co-occurring disorders until he gets his own anger, aggression, placing blame and guilt, and other adverse behaviors under control!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
