Alvaro Devia's Online Review Report Card

I should have gone with my "no pun intended" gut feeling on this but doctors credentials looked great on paper. Had umbelical hernia. After surgery I never felt right. My complaints of excruciating back pain and unable to completely empty my bladder was blown off as well blood pressure being sky high and low grade fever. End of story, went by ambulance for emergency surgery for full intestinal blockage. Mesh had migrated. Partner of Premier Dr. Nunley removed mesh. Highly recommend Dr. Nunley.

Anybody out there thinking about getting hernia surgery or general surgery from Dr Devia at Premier surgical DON'T HE is absolutely the worst surgeon I've ever seen. My surgery a minor hernia surgery surgery. It quickly turned into a nightmare. Left the hospital with a 5 inch incision which was supposed to be done orthoscopics to the belly button. I bled so much and hemorrhaged so much that is hemoglobin formed the size of a football in my lower abdomen rushed to E.R. to be drained.

he did a wonderful job prepping me for what was to be my first surgery... gave me a blow by blow of how it was done that settled my nerves and made me ready to get this done...

We saw him for a second opinion. He spent the appropriate amount of time and left no questions unanswered. He was great.

I was recently under the care of Dr. Alvaro H. Devia and his staff of Premiere Surgical Specialists. I was treated with the highest level of courtesy, kindness, and professionalism, felt very comfortable in his office, a pleasant, attractive environment, and would not hesitate to see him again if the need should ever arise.

I hold the office and this doctor in the highest regard. The office was extremely kind and courteous throughout my encounters. I visited the office about 5 times for two different procedures(unrelated). One was an early morning appointment; so early that I had not time to get coffee beforehand. The office staff were nice enough to provide me a cup of their coffee before my appointment. The staff has also been incredible in helping process the necessary paperwork for disability and PFL. Always easy to reach and super nice. Dr. Devia is a smart dude. He is willing to listen and even demonstrates a sense of humor.

Dr Devia performed a surgical breast biopsy on me. He did not get the tissue of interest. I am not faced with having another biopsy. The breast biopsy was supposed to be wire localized . The guiding wire was moved between imaging room and the surgery. Instead of starting over, Dr Devia chose to cut a large biopsy hoping to get the correct tissue. He did not. His post operative instructions did not match the wound I had. That just added to the misery. Finally, he is very slow to reveal the biopsy results. (Perhaps becuase the results were "ooops".
