I recently had a Radical Prostatectomy (Feb 2021) and after meeting with Dr. Kanellos and discussing all the options it was determined that this was the best option for me. The surgery was a complete success and he was able to completely remove all the cancer with the prostate and after just 5 weeks there are no noticeable side effects. He has a calm and reassuring bedside manner and checked in on me the day after surgery and I just completed my 5 week follow up visit. He is a very skilled surgeon using the DaVinci robot and does a few of these surgeries a week. I highly recommend Dr Kanellos if you are in need of advice and surgery regarding the prostate. I cannot thank him enough for removing my cancer and allowing me to continue with my life uninterrupted. So happy we have him here in Reno instead of travelling to larger cities for this type of surgery.

I was recently diagnosed with early stage Prostate cancer. I am mid 50's and prostate issues run in my family. After being referred to Dr Kanellos he took all the time needed to consult and discuss all the options available and we agreed the best course of action was the Radical Prostatectomy. I had the surgery in Feb 2021 and everything was successful. I was up and about the next day and after a week was able to live a normal life with no side effects whatsoever. Pain was minimal and all I had was tylenol after the first day. He took extra time to spare all the nerves and limit any possible side effects and was successful. He checked in on me the next day before being released from the hospital and a follow up a week ago and has a very reassuring and calm bedside manner. He is a very skilled surgeon and does this surgery numerous times each week. I have the highest regard for his skills and communication and highly recommend him if you have to make the decision to do this surgery.
