Practice through UNR School of Medicine. Dr P listens to his patients and offers down to earth medical advise. In addition to his practice, me is a mentor to both medical students and residents at UNR-SOM. Many of his current patients are from his prior private practice and would never think of leaving him now.

Dr passalacqua cares about you as a whole and doesn't always recommend medication first, which is appreciated. However, he listens to your concerns and is willing to prescribe medication when needed.

He is just a MD with not a lot of skill if you have complicated circumstances. My personal observation of his skills to heal are strongly influenced by experiences of his service in the past two years. If you value your health find a doctor not in the good ol' boys network, and skip UNR Family Medical Center. They don't sanitize the waiting room nor do they sanitize the patient rooms through out the day so if you sit in a chair that someone had scabies sat in, you might very well experience transference and become contaminated with scabies. Same of course is true for any other contagious problem. I have never been hospitalized for more than twenty five years. I have never had problem with bugs. In fact I am a trained professional in identifying micro organisms for thirty years. Which is why I knew right away I was having problem with mites. I did not have mites nor the rash that comes with them prior to admittance at St. Mary's Medical Center and Hospital in the direct care of Dr. Passalacqua, my primary care physician. This doctor chose to convince my husband that it is a mental problem. Not true, when you visibly can see and bag bugs coming off of you, it's not mental. We all know that hospitals have transference problems. Medical Professionals are reporting disease contamination in hospitals of other patients happens far to often. I am not the only one here on Yelp describing the lack of cleanliness at the Reno Nv St. Marys Hospital during the exact same dates I contracted scabies. We all know that Doctors would rather make a false diagnosis rather than confirming the transference take responsibility and treat the problem. All I can say is patients beware.
