"Initial impressions were good and he prescribed an inhaler to help my breathing. The bad started when I tried to refill the prescription. His medical support staff is horrible, ignoring messages and never returning calls or approving the refill request. It has now been nine days and no approval. I even went down to Renown yesterday and spoke with the Pulmonary front desk staff and they sent a priority message to the nurse assistant and still no response. Today on day nine of trying. I spoke to a team lead who sent a message to the Pulmonary team lead to try and get this fixed. We will see, but it should not be this hard to get a refill on an important Rx. I will be looking for another doctor as Dr. Thao's support staff is useless. Even if he is a good doctor it requires a competent support staff to get good care and that has not happened." UPDATE: On the afternoon of the 9th day the medical assistant finally made contact with me. I detailed my symptoms and she ran them by another doctor that was in the office and he said for me to get in ASAP for a recheck. I appreciate the caring now and hope future contacts are better that the beginning of this refill request.

Update: The support staff finally made contact with me on the afternoon of the ninth day for my refill request. The nurse assistant did take an interest and took down my symptoms and ran them by another Dr. He requested that I come in ASAP for a follow up check. I appreciate the caring now, hopefully future contacts will be less stressful
