List of Earle Oki's Reviews
Second time here with my pregnant wife, both times 30 minutes late or more and they wouldn't let me use the bathroom in their clinic, totally and completely rude and uncalled for. I don't recommend using this doctor.
I was very nervous to visit his office after seeing some of these negative reviews online. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Dr Oki was not overly friendly, but that's not his job. He was extremely thorough in explaining our options and everything that was happening during the ultrasound. I appreciate the attention to detail and the willingness to answer any and all questions I had.
I love Dr. Oki. He was my high-risk doctor for both of my pregnancies when I was 40/41 & 42. My children are 18 months apart. That age gap + my age + route of delivery (cesarean) for my first led to Dr. Oki questioning my life choices when we met again for my 2nd pregnancy. The first words out of his mouth were, "What about your birth control?" I explained that hormonal bc had done me wrong, I was fully breast feeding still AND I'm 42! Lol! He said, "You could get an IUD!" and then commenced w/ our high-risk screening ultrasound. I tell that story because if you are offended on my behalf, Dr. Oki may not be the doctor for you. I wasn't offended because he was not wrong. While I was really excited to be pregnant again, it WAS much more high-risk than my first statistically, and in Dr. Oki's eyes, a little foolhardy. He is a person who sees the hardest things that happen in pregnancy, who has to deliver the worst news sometimes. He is not one to sugar-coat anything or keep his medical opinions to himself , but he will give you extremely thorough, knowledgeable care if you can deal with his brusque manner. I really appreciated the fact that IF something were wrong he wouldn't beat around the bush. We had a few little small things on my son's anatomy scan that needed revisiting, and he was very upfront about everything. I haven't seen Dr. Oki since I was 20 weeks pregnant w/ baby 2 because she was perfect, I was very healthy & no longer considered high-risk. But I bet anything, Dr. Oki still thinks I should have gotten that IUD. Hahaha! Good luck, Mamas! May you all be healthy w/ beautiful babies!
Dr. Oki is probably good at imaging, but we wish there was an alternative. In our first meeting, within the same breath, he told us we were and having a girl, then told us he noticed some "anomalies" in the imaging. The rest of the time was spent telling us we may want to look into abortion... We spent the next several months listening to him tell us that the anomalies were still there, and he wasn't sure how it'd turn out. It was awful. Luckily, out baby girl was born without any problems. His bedside manner is frankly abhorrent. Find someone else if you can!
Many people at banner hospital in Fallon talk negative about Dr oki. They told us he was very grumpy and even was known for turning people down for not being COVID vaccinated. My wife and I both had mask on and so did Dr oki. He did not mention anything about COVID-19 vaccine. We had to wait about an hour past our appointment time and they even told us to come in a half hour earlier but in the end it was worth the wait. For my wife and I the experience was very satisfying. Dr oki takes his job very serious and is very professional. I say he definitely has the knowledge to back that up as well. He took the time to go over everything about the risk of having a baby when women are older and went into great detail breaking everything down to a science for us. We felt it was a great experience with Dr oki and he is definitely the Dr you want on your side when things go bad. He is very thorough witch is not a skill you see in many Dr's now days.
My families first experience with Doctor Oki was during a stressful time during my cousin's pregnancy. Initially his personality left some to be desired upon the initial meeting, but all meetings after the first were great. Fast forward 5 years to my high risk pregnancy and I still greatly enjoy him. He is very knowledgable and has been more helpful to me than my OB. He does have a dry sense of humor and his personality is different (very direct), but he's a great doctor and I/my spouse have no complaints. I can understand how some may not want to recommend him due to their initial meeting, but if you have a little insight/information of him prior to your appointment, it'll be much better. I prefer him and his treatment of my pregnancy (directness) vs what I get from my OB (nothing).
My wife just had a 20 week ultrasound with Dr Oki. She said it was one of the most bizarre and stressful experiences she's had as a pregnant woman, and that includes our experience with multiple miscarriages. The experience can't be summarized adequately nor do I have the patience to try. It boils down not only having the emotional intelligence of an armadillo but also not listening when a patient tells you that what you're doing and the way you're acting is causing them (the patient) harm. Truly a mind boggling experience that you should not embark upon if it can be avoided.
This is the second time I was supposed to be seen in this office, the first time I waited over 2 hours in the waiting room with not a single explanation (I understand things happen but even just a “I’m sorry but the doctor is running late (obviously)” or whatever would have been nice. This second time, I got a referral and they never called. I called to schedule and they were booked but got me in. The day before my appointment after scrambling to find childcare and school pickups etc they said he had to leave early and I’d need to reschedule. They scheduled me for the following day for a 4pm appointment and told me if I had my paperwork filled out, I can show up right at my appointment time. I receive a call @ 3:38pm that I missed, no voicemail or anything. I immediately return the call (3:39pm) to get the answering service, even they didn’t know why they rolled the phones early. Show up at my appt time and they were nowhere to be found. What a joke. If you don’t have to, don’t go!
Extremely disappointed in the front receptionist person working today. I was referred to this office by my OB-GYN for an anatomy scan. I got to my appointment and I waited outside of the door to be let in while they had someone inside up front. When it came to my turn I was asked if I had paperwork filled out and I said no I never got any paperwork to fill out and she said that I won’t have time to fill out paperwork as my appointment time is now. She also stated that she called me herself yesterday and left me a voicemail to remind me about the paperwork which is not true I pulled up my phone log and the last missed call and voicemail I have is from Wednesday night. There was nothing I was able to do to keep my appointment as if I have ever walked into a doctors office and been called at the same minute you enter- as if I would not have not even 5 minutes to fill out paperwork if that was the case. I have never in my life been turned away for something that was not even communicated to me. I scheduled this appointment 6 weeks ago and to be turned away at my appointment time with no possible way to keep my appointment is insane. The receptionist made it apparent that she was not going to make anything possible and had a completely negative attitude towards the entire situation. I had to leave work to get here and I made it to my appointment not late just to be turned away for something that was not even in my control and no willingness to let me fill out paperwork. Truly disappointed. We just moved here from Phoenix and I’ve had 4 kids so I know what the process looks like for these appointments and I have never in my life experienced service like this.
My girl been trying to set an appointment with them for over a week now, can you guys answer your phones please!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
