I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Malcarney perform surgery on my shoulder. Professional, knowledgeable and caring. It was a difficult surgery and after two weeks I’m in therapy and doing great!

I have had shoulder issues for decades. Since moving to Sparks, they became progressively worse. Dr. Malcarney has performed several surgeries on me, given me shots, and advice. She is truly unique as a surgeon in that she does not just want to "slice and dice". Dr. Malcarney always gives options and their expected outcomes. She is truly on her patients' sides. Her experience shows in all she does. Additionally, her office staff is caring and empathetic.

Dr. Malcarney is wonderful. She explained the situation with my shoulder extremely well and the options I had as well as how my recovery will go. I haven’t had the surgery yet, but I’m very comfortable things will go well.

I've been a patient of Dr. Malcarney for the past several years and most recently for shoulder recovery surgery. She is an outstanding surgeon and will always be my choice for shoulder/knee orthopedics as long as I may require.

I am a semi-retired mental health professional. Two years ago this month Dr. Malcarney performed arthroscopic repair of my very seriously injured right shoulder. Before the surgery all but the most minimal use of my right arm had been lost. Her manner throughout the surgery planning and follow-up was remarkable for her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The strength, flexibility, and pain-free utility of my arm and shoulder have been restored to 100% by the surgery and follow-up physical therapy. This is the best possible outcome.
