I was in pain for years . I saw other doctors in those years but they didn't come across trustworthy . My good friend had fantastic results with Dr. Rappaport and my friends case was complicated . Dr. R took the time to explain my case to me and how he would approach it and why . Like any other doctor's office you have to wait to get in and obviously there's a reason for it with Dr.Rappaport . I'm out of pain and move freely . Thank you Dr. R

Came here as a child for a broken wrist, now I have a broken bone floating in my wrist. Have to have reconstructive surgery on my entire wrist and have to re-break the bones to fix it. It was fun there when I was a kid.. Paying more for it as an adult..

Dr. Rappaport is an EXCELLENT Spine Surgeon. He did my Lumbar Fusion. He is the BEST Spine doctor in Reno.

Great surgeon! BUT if you live in a rural area you better stockpile pain medication ahead of time. I had surgery on 9/14/20 and as of 10/16 I have had more days WITHOUT pain medication than I have had with pain medication. The mailed prescription for refills takes a minimum of 4 days to get from Reno to Elko, then the pharmacy had to order the pain meds which takes 3-4 days. He prescribes 8 days at a time. I told Rachel about the mail/pharmacy issue upfront. Hopefully they got the memo this time around and will mail it early. Going one week on and one week off is ridiculous. So if you are looking to have a surgery with them and you live in Elko or other rural area, get your pain medicine stocked up somehow and make arrangements with them to get your meds to you. My issue also is my ins only covers 2 refills in 60 days so 8 days at a time doesnt fly and you have to pay cash. I didnt have pain meds first 4 days after discharge! Make sure ins is contacted by them. That SUCKED!

He is great but his support staff and PA, awful ! Especially the PA wont take responsibility for his screw ups and blames patients. No thanks, if I need surgery again I will go somewhere else.

I required a surgery on my spine L5/S1 Dr Rappaport and his staff explained the procedure and the options available to me. I had a surgery in 2004 for the same condition same disc but on the right side. The pain and numbness I had in my left leg are gone and the physical therapy is bringing the strength back. Each Pt. is different as is each situation. If I ever require a spinal surgery again I will use Dr Rappaport!The office staff are professional and courteous. Rachel the Dr's assistant handle all the details, scheduling, meds follow ups ,etc. Kudos to her!The office is clean and easy to locate.Thanks again !!!

Dr.Rappaport was referred by a close friend who had the same procedure that I required. I had the same procedure (on my right side in 2004) by a differnt Dr. I found Dr. Rappaport to be professional and direct with his treatment plan for my situation. Dr. James Rappaport is the best. I have been going to Dr. Rappaport for a few years now. I wouldn't let anyone else operate on my back but him. He tells you what is wrong, gives you your options and you go from there. In no way does he suggest surgery without trying everything else. He explains very well. I truly love this man. He is the reason I'm still walking. His office staff is great. His nurse Rachel is awesome. It's a pleasure to see her every visit. She makes my day. Dr. Rappaport is a very good surgeon and i am sure you would really like him. Like i said he is the best!! I give him a 10 out of 10 stars
