We have experienced the same situation regarding trying to locate Dr Stevenson, he is the only one who can prescribe the specialized meds required to treat our daughter’s pulmonary hypertension, without his request/approval she cannot get a refill…we are frantic trying to figure out how to get this situation resolved. This comment is simply reflective of the extreme frustration and fear we are experiencing and not a complaint regarding this group or practitioner.

He’s simply the best, I just wish I could get a hold of him since he left St Mary’s, I need to schedule an appt, but no one seems to have a phone number or location.

He is a phenomenal doctor. He found me with severe pulmonary hypertension undiagnosed by any other doctors for 2 years. He is so patient, even with my insane health anxiety this diagnosis has prompted. I cannot recommend him enough

My Cardiologist just left St. Mary’s and I inquired as to where he went. He has been our Cardiologist for 20 years. They refuse to tell us where he has gone. They are robotic in their response, St Mary’s will not provide that information….

Seeing Dr Stevenson was like a breath of fresh air in the doctor experience. He is focused on the patient and their understanding of the disease and the treatment. He looks you in the eye to be sure that you do understand. I am a retired RN and have been seeing him for over 2 years. He is an excellant cardiologist and PAH specialist.

Dr Joe Stevenson saved my life by following my heart care very closely. After 2 annual visits he was concerned and immediately ordered an EKG. That is when we found out that the valve was closing and that is why I experienced 5 falls in less than 6 months. He found that I had severe Aortic Stenosis. I was never tired, was not out of breath, never passed out or was dizzy. I would just fall. In three weeks I was in the Hospital to have a new Aortic valve replacement. My TAVR is made of Cow heart tissue and I am doing just great. I was 78 when my procedure was done. That was 2 years ago. My Surgeon was Dr. Desai and he is also great.

Words can not say how wonderful we think Dr. Stevenson is. Most of all he really cares, and that is hard to find in this day and age. He makes you feel really relaxed and want to talk about how you feel and whats going on. Thank you Dr. Stevenson

Warm, kind, understanding. Will take all the time it requires for you to understand your particular circumstance and learn how to work within your limitations. Both my wife and myself are his patients and both of us have the highest respect and confidence in him.
