St Marys hospice was purchased by another company a few months ago. Ever since the transition started care has been spotty and sometimes non existent. Social worker has been mia for 2 months. We lost our assigned nurse who made weekly visits. Now we get a different one every time if they bother to come out at all. 2 weeks ago I had to prepare the weekly meds and call to reorder myself because no nurse bothered to show up The only good thing about them now is that the cna that we always had stayed with the new org so we still get her fantastic care. As for the rest? Find another service this one wasnt the best to begin with but now they might be lethal due to lack of service and absolutely no continuity of care.

My Father was admitted to St. Marys hospice the Thurs. before Veterans Day. In the five days my dad was on hospice we saw on Monday a chaplin and one CNA. The nurse never came by because as she explained over the phone in one of two calls received from her its a three day holiday and Ill be by on Tues. My dad died early Tues morning. Needless to say we never met my dads hospice nurse.I am a Medical Assistant and I do not recommend St.Marys to the patients I see.

Terrible care and they made the patient worse by specifically giving a drug that I knew would have bad side effects since it had been used before with horrible painful side effects. I communicated this to them many times and they stated there was no other drug to control her agitation. That is simply not true. Also hospice is supposed to be supportive but I found myself often in an adversarial position. I finally fired them and hired another hospice.
