Dr. Shonnard is a wonderful doctor & surgeon for hips or knees. I had been in horrible pain for 7 months. He did a hip replacement on me and I was free of pain almost immediately. I am so grateful! Each time I met with him, I had his full attention & felt he truly cared about my health. His staff is as caring and knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to meet all of them.

Dr. Shonnard performed surgery on my right shoulder in March of 2023. He was very accurate in his diagnosis which was confirmed by the MRI prior to surgery. He did an excellent job with the surgery and his post surgery instructions. At all of the follow up appointments, he has been very thorough and plain talking in his assessment of the progress I am making with recovery. He has always given me ample opportunity to ask questions and has answered them fully. He has been especially good at helping me see possible problems that might develop during my healing process and how to avoid them. Besides his medical knowledge he is an interesting and intelligent person to talk with about the northern Nevada area and it's history. His staff have always been friendly and easy to work with and have went out of their way to make me feel welcome at every appointment. I went to Dr. Shonnard at the recommendation of a long time friend that he had operated on and would happily give the same good recommendation to anyone. Him and his staff have also been very good at dealing with a Workman's Comp adjuster that is very hard to get along with.

Dr.Shonnard has been and continues to be a fantastic practitioner. He’s has helped me with my hip replacement and now with my shoulder injury. Dr. Shonnard takes the time to “talk” to you! You are not just a number to him!! Thank you

Dr Shonnard is clearly talented, effective and brilliant. He explained everything to me in a way that I can understand both pre-op and post-op, taking time to answer my questions. His staff is amazing as well. All very kind, competent and professional. I would definitely recommend to everyone I know.
