Peter Alrhausen performed my emergency surgery on my arm 2 years ago. I’m sad it took me this long to review him. I was in a car accident and my humerus was broken into two pieces. With little time, he decided to put 6 screws and a plate in there to hold it together. He is a surgical artist! I’m healed and the scar isn’t too bad. I couldn’t thank him enough! He’s an angel from god!

I saw Dr Althausen this week, what a refreshing visit. I felt so good leaving. We were talking about my injury and he described in great detail how he wanted to approach treatment and then apologized for talking so much. I told him it was refreshing to not have to drag the info out of a doctor. He is a very genuine and compassionate man and I'm glad I was assigned to him for care. I feel very confident in him.

I met Dr Althausen under the worst of conditions after being care flighted to Renown trauma center. I can't tell you how lucky I was that he was on call that night. I lost three and a half fingers on my dominant hand and he was able to save most of my index finger and a portion of my middle finger. I am so thankful for the excellent job he did that words fall short. He is one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. His entire team at both the Reno and Carson City ROC clinics are wonderful. They always make you feel welcome and are extremely professional. I hope you never find yourself in need of their services but if you do you won't find a more compassionate and competent person that Dr Althausen. I can't thank him enough for what he's done for me. I have a long road to recovery in front of me but thanks to him I have the best possible chances. Thanks Doc!

On 07/07/2019 I was involved in a traumatic fireworks accident and was care flighted to Renown where Dr. Athausen was on call. I can only say that the surgery he performed on reconstructing what was left of 4 of my 10 fingers was nothing short of impeccable to me!! The only complaint I have is how sad I am because of being sent to a different surgeon for a second opinion, and not being able to return to Dr Athausen for my continued care!! His office staff and care team were the best I had ever experienced, and I have missed them so much! I can only thank God that I was blessed to spend the time with them that I did. Dr. Althausen was amazing with my 9 year old daughter who had a very horrendous elbow break which required immediate surgery. He calmed us all down, and then fixed her arm perfectly. A+

My husband had a spiral fracture in his lower leg from a skiing accident, and Dr. Althausen could not have done a better job, both with repairing the injury and in explaining everything to us. Super friendly and willing to answer any question, loved that. He is the best!

On Mar 23, 2019 I had an awful traumatic fall and among my injuries I had several shattered ribs on my right rib cage needed surgery several days later for other reasons and when the extent of my rib injuries were discovered Dr Peter Althausen was consulted he came in the OR assessed my needs and stabilized 3 of my unstable ribs with titanium plates this aided and speeded up my recovery time Thank you Dr Althausen
