List of Reno Modern Dentistry And Orthodontics's Reviews
Absolutely terrible experiences here. My fiancé had a crown done here. Set up the appointment and was told it could all be done in a day. Two days before the scheduled appointment received a call saying she’s late and will be losing the deposit. Confused she explains the appointment isn’t for two days, and is told she’s wrong and had an additional “pre crown” appointment for today. Gets the crown done. I go to get my cleaning done which is covered by my insurance, and tell them just to do whatever is covered by my insurance. Somehow, they decided that meant to do X-rays and other procedures (which I assumed was what was covered, as I don’t know what a cleaning entails) and ended up paying a couple hundred bucks I didn’t have. We switched dentists. My new dentist, who is great, upon first examination of my fiancées crown, explains that it was not only unnecessary but also done so poorly that it would not last even four years. Big surprise that now, only two years later, her crown is causing her terrible pain from being done so poorly. The crown she got (and all other services through Reno Modern Dentistry) we have now learned was also several hundred dollars more expensive than almost any other dentist. Extremely upset and contemplating litigation. Do not go to Reno Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics if you value your teeth or money.
Bayley and Emily were extremely helpful and professional. It's always a please coming here for my dental checkups. They do their best to help out with whatever issues come up. I highly recommend!
Dr. Kim and Dr. Kang are awesome alongside the entire staff ! Overall one of the best dentist experiences I’ve ever had.
Great friendly Service
They expect you to be 15 minutes early for any appointment or reschedule and possiblya depositof up to $100 for subsequent appointments. However, Ive been sitting in this chair for 45 minutes. After being brought back 20 minutes after my appointment time. How bout every 15 minutes Y'all are late you knock off 25 % of bill???? My time is just as important as yours!
They were quick to get me seen for a tooth ache. They were friendly and clear in the process. Unfortunately, due to the pressure on my damaged and/or infected tooth, the X-rays increased my pain greatly. I became nauseous and unwell, and I told the young lady doing the X-rays. After seating at the chair to wait for the dentist, the young lady said she would get me some acetaminophen. She never did. I waited over a half hour in extreme pain. When the dentist came and looked at my X-rays, she prescribed me antibiotics, anx they made me a quick follow-up appointment a week later. The front desk said that appointment was not available and placed me 3 weeks further out. They said it was for consultation on what to do and surgery will be farther out. They already have the X-rays and we both know the options. What is the delay? Anyway, I'm still in extreme pain 5 days later looking for a quicker solution, and disappointed in this clinic's methods.
They were the only dentist office open on Sunday (despite others claiming to be open 24/7). I had a tooth break Friday evening. When I called on Saturday they were able to see me first thing Sunday morning. Dr James Kang was very professional and extracted my tooth as requested. The other support staff were amazing as well. I went in a few days later because of tooth and gum pain in the extraction site. Was seen by a different dentist Dr Kim (I believe) she discovered that I had food in my healing gums. When I asked her what foods I should be eating she just kept saying not crumbly foods like Doritos ( I never eat Doritos) I said that I had eaten scrambled eggs and ramen to which she replied eggs are crumbly. Again I asked her what I should be eating. She said soup and salad. ( salad and raw leafy greens and vegetables are specially not recommended to eat since the fibers are hard and pieces are highly likely to get lodged in the healing gums. She completely fat shamed and assumed and instead of actually doing her job of telling me what I should be eating recommended something that is completely recommended not to eat. And would be harmful to eat.
Very happy to have found this dentist. I had a cleaning and X-rays and am very impressed with the staff and service. I feel confident going forward.
As a new customer who has had bad luck with dentist in the past topped with anxiety I have found the place! Wonderful staff. I am happy and relaxed about my next visit
Took great care of my wife, everyone was very helpful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
