List of Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center's Reviews
St. Mary’s owes me a refund that they sent to a closed account before I even knew about it - and now they refuse to pay me or take responsibility for their mistake. Guess St. Mary’s is a Christian hospital in name only. After I submitted this review I received two copy-and-paste responses. Neither was even remotely helpful and I haven’t heard anything since. Complete lack of customer service.
Felt extremely neglected in this hospital. While my surgeon and his team were amazing, and the staff was very friendly..The nurses and care team in charge of my over night recovery were ( very friendly) but completely unavailable. They forgot to turn my meds on my IV on, they refused to give me ice chips, even though a CNA from cardiology read my chart said I could have them. It would take hours for them to come and help me go to the bathroom, or get some water or broth.. they didn't feed my breakfast no matter how many times I asked.. they just kept saying they will get it and never came back, they kept telling me how important it was to walk and drink water but were unavailable to help the entire time. My IV was beeping for a good hour woke me up I pressed my emergency call button almost peed myself waiting for help, hurt myself trying to get out of my bed to go potty because they weren't comming. Horrible hospital.. was so dehydrated the guy taking my blood left bruises and tracks all over my arm looking for veins as he twisted the needle around reaching for band aids. Went back to my hotel starving, and dehydrated.. horrible hospital 5 out of 5 would not recommend.
Small hospital. Had all the specialties
Dr Boskavich was my husbands Dr this morning, after being attacked and beat up by two men he had to come be seen for headache and pain in his arm and leg, Dr Boskavich did not treat him with care, he was very sarcastic and very short with us. Also was very distasteful and mean when asked how long the wait would be and any questions we had. There was no police called or even contacted, not even a report. I don't recommend this hospital at all unless you want to be treated like garbage after being hurt. If you love your family DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE! They will also lock you in the facility. I have never heard of any kind of hospital locking you in the facility.
I went in yesterday August 28th. It was my first time here. The place looked so dirty and old. There were so many people in there. All the seats were right next to each other. I literally sat down and did not move. I was afraid to catch covid. They do not care. When they finally took me to the back I knew why it was so packed. Everyone back there was just walking slow and messing around. 2 people in the waiting room needed emergency help and they didnt do much. Some lady got up and she couldn't breathe anymore. And the nurse just stood there! Another lady was dying and her daughter had told the nurses that she was dying and they just took her blood pressure and sent her back out. Worst hospital EVER!
It is not possible to talk to a live person on any of the many phone numbers they give out. I am unable to schedule an appointment with my cardiologist since he has a robot answering the phone that when answering his questions he always says someone will call back; but no one ever does. Since carbon health has taken over it's robots on every phone. This morning I called the main number 775-770-3000 and got another robot interspersed by lousy music that said the "... next available will be with you shortly." After 43 minutes of that I gave up and will now look to change my entire health retinue to the competition. I love my doctors and I loved St. Mary's but I will have to change after so many years. So many years the central government has taken the profit out of health with their stupid decisions that now Doctor's have to scratch to make a living. At 81 years of age I know what good medical care was like. I only hope I can find it again elsewhere. St. Mary's has gone down the drain.
Thank you to the ER and the 5 floor nurses who took care of me when my unexpected fun train ride from Sac CA and the Altitude Exasperated my COPD And put me in the hospital. You all were amazing in helping me to breath and worked on getting me down to my elevation where I can breath. Forever grateful, blessed, and doing so much better. Ps. The music sound your hospital make when a baby is born, is a great highlight to make everyone happy when they hear it. Life is good.Sincere Bonnie n Clyde 3/26-3/29 2022
Ethan is a terrible unprofessional nurse. Amy from patient services never called me back .and the mri technicians are extremely rough. Will be contacting bbb as well. You suggested for me to call Amy the woman who does not return my phone call
No price transparency. I tried for 4 weeks to find out how much a self pay birth cost. Made a cash deal and Saint Mary's took the deal back the week after I delivered. The bill was 9x higher than we thought we had to pay. We made more than 30 phone calls to find out why? Still no answer. We won't come back to this hospital. Have reported them for non transparent pricing.
Thank you for your quick response and the cut-and-paste reply. I received a similar message from the Office of Patient Experience with absolutely no mention of how St. Mary's is going to help me. I think I've been quite clear as to what I want, so no - I won't be making any phone calls.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
