I have treated with Dr. Melendrez on 2 or 3 occasions now and agree with every other positive review written about him.

The BEST surgeon in Reno! From the front office to the back assistants 100% awesome!

I was impressed with his work on the pre-implant process. However, when the day came to put in a prosthetic tooth which I had pre-paid for 6 months earlier my appointment was canceled with a two hour notice. Unfortunately, I have a very tight schedule at work and had juggled a lot to have this appointment. I was told the doctor had a surgery which went longer than usual and they could not get me in for three more weeks. I feel this is very unprofessional and the staff seems lackadaisical to accommodate me sooner. Under the circumstances I cannot recommend this dentist.

Dr. Melendrez rocks! He is very professional, kind and helpful. Thanks to him, the surgery for my first implant went very smoothly -- it was much easier than I expected. His entire team is excellent as well.

Actual oral surgery experience was great. My rating reflects my experience with the pre- and post- communication about the procedure. I had never been there before. The initial call to confirm did not include all the information I needed to have about the procedure. A couple days before, they called to tell me to bring a large, unexpected copay. Also, there was no follow up phone call to check on my post-surgery recovery. That surprised me considering I had general anesthesia. I would go back because the actual procedure was good, the office is clean, staff is friendly, but my expectations about customer-care are lower.

Dr. Melendrez treated my wife after a root canal failed. He gently took the tooth out and got the area clean. He put in a graft and then after it was healed inserted an implant so my wife could have a new too. He was great through it all. My wife had no pain at all.

Dr. Melendrez seems to be pretty arrogant. I complained that there was pain in my jaw, from which paresthesia radiates from and broadens toward my lower lip. To which he responded that's impossible and if I'm that concerned about it he would refer me to a neurologist of sorts who would take a nerve from my ankle and place it in my face. He said "None of my patients have returned for nerve care beyond 6 months." I can see why, he is disbelieving and rude. Had 2 wisdom teeth extracted 2/2016.

Very good experience! I'm a tota dental phobic and having had radiation to my face needed a specialist for 3 extractions. Dr. Melendez explained the worst-case scenario clearly. The procedure went fine under sedation. They had me in and out in an hour with virtually no pain or swelling. The post op directions are clear and concise and I was sent home with a scrip for pain meds but haven't needed them.
