Dr. Verklereen and her staff (Jamie is always so welcoming and thorough and Cassie is incredibly patient) are the gold standard in Healthcare. This may seem like too much info but I need people to understand that there are individuals out there that CAN help you. I was referred to Dr. Verklereen a few years ago for opiate recovery treatment. I had been made to bounce around between doctors in order to get the medication I needed. Each doctor would have their own rules and thoughts and therefore my treatment would change each time. What was supposed to be a short 2 month medication assisted treatment turned into a suboxone dependancy thats going on 6 years. I have tried several times to come off the medication but the withdrawal is severe and near impossible without the right help. When I had my first meeting with Dr. Verklereen I expected the same song and dance as previous doctors. I figured I'd have new hoops to jump through in order to get the medication doctors had me addicted to and I would simply see her once a month. I can't tell you how incredibly happy I was to be wrong. She spent an hour with me during my first appointment. I don't think I've spent an hour with any doctor, ever, besides a surgery 😅 She listened to me....actually heard what I was saying. She had done her homework as well and took the suboxone treatment as seriously as I did. When I told her I wanted to work on coming off the suboxone, and she told me she thought that was a "great idea", I cried a little. It's like reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. I started to bring non-treatment issues to her because I trusted her so much and eventually she became the primary care doctor for me and my family. For the last 2.5 years she has remained just as attentive and dedicated as the first time I met her. She found the underlying causes for a number of issues I had that would have made it impossible for me to get off the suboxone as well as caused serious health conditions. She treats each aspect of my life with importance. She remembers what's going on with my family, my business and my church. She takes everything into consideration when figuring out a medical solution instead of just writing a script to see if it sticks. I've always felt comfortable being up front and honest, as well as sharing super personal information with her. She and Jamie are so down to earth and personable. They always call to check up on me after a dosage or medication change and are truly sincere. Dr. Verkleeren and those working with her have truly changed my life. My health has improved tremendously both physically and mentally and I'm (hopefully) on my last leg of the weening process with my Suboxone. It's hard to imagine a life not tethered to the mediation, but I am confident I'll live it thanks to them. I could sing their praises all day for the peace of mind I now have thanks to them. If you aren't feeling this amazing about your primary, it may be time for a new one!

Dr. Verkleeren is absolutely hands down the most supportive and caring doctor I've ever had before. She actually shows she cares and does anything and everything for my recovery. I wouldn't choose anybody else.

Dr. Verkleeren is professional, precise, friendly and easy to communicate with. I'm very lucky to have her as my PCP.

I have been seeing Dr. Erica for a long time now and she is very caring and understanding and is great at her job. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a primary care physician.

Dr. Verkleeren is the best doctor I have ever dealt with. She is patient and actually likes to hear your opinion on possible treatments. She never rushes you and always has a smile on her face. The staff there is always smiling and treats you like family.
