Have had hip pain for years and I was finally diagnosed with osteoarthritis and told I need a new hip. Doctors at Crystal run told me I had to lose over 100 lbs and wait until I’m older. Thanks to Dr. Bhadra I did lose 60 lbs and received a hip replacement. A little over a month after surgery I’m feeling better than I have in a very long time. Him anxx Dec his team are awesome I would highly recommend.
Stay far away from Dr. Arup Bhadra for your own health and safety, and that of family. This man is a nasty, vindictive human being who flagrantly violates patient privacy and confidentiality. When an issue involving my mother's care post-surgery was brought to his attention in confidence, he snapped, "that's not our responsibility!" He then told me over the phone to, quote, "Shut Up! and Stop Talking!" If that weren't bad enough, he then proceeded to badmouth me for calling him IN CONFIDENCE and privately for assistance to persons at the hospital where my mother was in the ICU, breaching the confidentiality of our conversation, and spreading lies that my mother didn't like the people at the hospital, which was totally untrue. He also embarrassed my mother and other family members, smearing us to any hospital personnel who would listen! Doctor-patient confidentiality? This man not only flagrantly violates this core tenet of patient care and the law, he makes up stories to harm any patient who bothers him or ruffles his ego. My elderly mother did nothing to deserve this. She's fighting for her life after a terrible fall. This man should not hold a medical license, as he has zero compassion or regard for patients.
I have had two knee replacement surgeries done by Dr. Bhadra. I am extremely happy with both.
Dr. Bhadra is a gentleman and excellent surgeon! He has done both knees and hip. I NEVER had a problem and I am pain free.
Just a wonderful Surgeon, Doctor and person. Had 2 Knee replacements (one in Nov 2020 and one in Mar 2021) and I am totally a new person. Still work to do at PT (but that's on me!), but I was able to walk my daughter down the aisle in June, and do the father/daughter dance with 0 pain. His entire staff (particularly his PA Daniel) are just great, and his team at Good Sam hospital were awesome. If you are not ready for surgery/replacement, he offers other alternatives and does not force you to do surgery.
Just returned from a visit to Dr. Bhadra and it was perhaps the worst experience I ever had with a doctor. About fifty minutes after our appointment time the doctor came in and spoke with us to ask what the problem was. He then sent us to another room for x-rays. The x-ray technician took us immediately and it only took about five minutes for the x-rays. We were sent back to the original room where we were told the doctor would be in to see us shortly. At that point we had been in the office about an hour and a half. I saw him walk past our door and asked him "where are you going now"? He came back and told my wife and me to leave and walked out. I asked the secretary at the desk where he was and he wasn't going to see us anymore and we should leave. I told her to find him and tell him we wouldn't leave until he gave us the results of the x-rays. Reluctantly, he came back and told us what he saw. STAY FAR AWAY from him. How dare he refuse to give us results because we were complaining

Wonderful! Very Friendly. Answered my questions. Able to go back to walking my 2 1/2 miles 3-5 times per week within 2 weeks of my first appointment. Would highly recommend him!!
Dr. Bhadra is an excellent surgeon for my robotic hip replacement
He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. His conversations with you are informative and courteous.
They had me wait 40 mins inside the Dr's room before the doctor showed up. Once he did, Dr Bhadra saw my knee for a second, barely paid any attention to what I said, sent me for Xrays, then had me wait another 30 mins. When he came back, HE DIDN'T EVEN SIT DOWN to talk with me about what's wrong or caring to answer any questions I may have... nothing. He mumbled a few things and lead me out to his secretary to pay.I saw the Dr a total of 5 mins at most and I didn't feel welcome or cared for at all. Do not recommend.
The surgery went very well and recovery was as well no problems.Dr. Bhadra always there checking up on my condition and making me feel comfortable.
I could hardly walk due to severe OsteoArthritis. My primary M.D referred me to Dr. Arup Bhadra who performed total hips replacement. Post surgery recovery went so well that people who know me prior surgery couldn’t believe how well and so quickly I was on my feet walking. I strongly recommend Dr. Bhadra for any Orthopedic surgery.
I had a left hip replacement in August 2020 which I wish I had done sooner. Dr. Bhadra is an excellent physician as well as surgeon. I was extremely fearful and hesitant of proceeding with surgery. He answered all my questions and put my fears to rest. He has wonderful bedside manners. I am extremely greatful to Dr. Bhadra as I am now pain free and back to work within a month. I would highly recommend Dr. Bhadra to anyone needing a kind, courteous, patient and caring physician.
In June 2020 Dr Bhadra performed a TKR at a point when I could hardly walk due to severe osteoarthritis. The procedure went extremely well. He always took time to explain the procedure before and after surgery. Dr Bhadra is an excellent doctor. Besides being smart, he is also kind, and explains things so that you understand them. I also cannot say enough about the excellent care provided by his staff. Thank you Dr. Bhadra.
Well he may be a great doctor but I only saw the inadequacies Follow up visit he says how did shot work I said I didn’t get shot you sent me for A. MRI I said it’s a mess why don’t you take a quick look at report When he came back he gave me his a opinion in 45 seconds And then says I see you switched insurance companies and I don’t except it I will set you up with a partner I felt like he could get rid of me quick enough like I had the Corona virus Oh yes he did say unless I want to pay out of pocket I am so happy as the doctor I’m seeing now is fantastic I highly recommend Dr Harris
I was referred to Dr. Bhadra by two people who had very successful knee replacements performed by him. Mine took place on 9/16/19 and was equally successful. He was reassuring, patient and confident throughout the process. He took time to be sure I understood the procedure, the recovery and the expected outcome. Recovery was fast and pain well managed.
I found Dr. Bhadra very personable, professional, and highly successful,
In July 2019 Dr. Bhadra performed a total left hip replacement at a point when I could hardly walk due to severe osteo arthritis. The procedure went extremely well. After a two night stay in the hospital I began recovery at home with physical therapy. I was driving after two weeks and back at work after three weeks at home. During this time I ha no pain and took no pain medication. I continued wit Physical therapy and am leading a completely active and normal life. I am very thankful to Dr. Bhadra who heads the joint replacement program at Good Samaritan Hospital. And to the Hospital staff for a very positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Bhadra.
Dr. Bhadra did my left knee replacement on6/24/19. He always took time to explain procedures before and after surgery. Above all he always had time for questions. Pain management was great and made it able to start PT right after surgery. I was back to my normal life within 6 weeks. I recommend dr Bhadra to anyone who needs knee surgery.
