I had cataract surgery in January, and was referred to Dr. Zieker by my ophthalmologist for follow up pertaining to some visual complications I was experiencing. I had a total of three visits to the Troy office of Ophthalmic Consultants of the Capital Region, seeing Dr. Zieker on the first and third visits and Dr. Mayron, a retina specialist, on the second visit. In the course of these visits I was given every eye exam imaginable, all by competent, and gracious technicians. When Dr. Zieker saw me he had all that data in front of him. I was impressed, from start to finish. In the end we concluded that my eyes were in good shape, and there was no reason to pursue any further treatment or reparative surgery. I am grateful and happy to pass along this very positive review.

I had cataract surgery in February. My cataracts were replaced with the vivity premiun lenses, which correct my nearsightness as well as near vision. The surgery process was very smooth, all instruction preop and postoperative were clear and concise. My surgical result is outstanding, exceeding my expectations. When I was told my appointment would be 3 hours I just sighed. BUT ... it felt like 30 minutes. Wonderful staff, called me in before I even sat down. Someone was with me the whole time. Extremely informative. I now have a much better understanding of what I need to do and watch for my eye health. Couldn't be happier.

After a thorough examination, Doctor Zieker determined that I had extremely dense cataracts. He recommended they be removed. After an in depth orientation on the aspects of cataracts and the surgical removal process, I agreed and was scheduled for the surgery. His surgical center is modern, efficient, thorough.
