Bhullar Ravneet's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Bhullar was awesome as long as things went well but, once a procedure didn't work, she blamed me for my pain. My cervical spine pain is now worse and I developed Trigeminal Neuralgia after an unsuccessful, cervical spine, steroid injection she administered. The pain I endured during the procedure made it clear something very wrong was happening. I had no way to communicate this. At the follow-up visit, she implied strongly that my anxiety was the problem. I had brought an RN friend with me who has worked in neuro ICUs just to confirm my perception of Dr. Bhullar's unprofessional behavior. I am now seeing a neurologist and a physiatrist at a medical center in Boston and now live with pain rather than consider any procedures on my cervical spine after my experience with this doctor.

DO NOT SEE "DR" BHULLAR. My experience with her was the worst doctors visit I've ever had, and I've seen almost 50 doctors.I was referred here to get Gabapentin. I switched to a new GI doctor who didn't want to prescribe the high dose my previous GI doctor had been giving me. I was taking 1,200mg 3 times a day, and the new GI would only do 800 3 times a day, so the new GI said "DR" Bhullar could take it over.At the start of my appt, my parents and I tell Bhullar my situation. She says Gaba is prescribed all the time for pain so this would be no problem. She said at least THREE times I would not leave without a script (reassuring me, as I was very stressed about the situation.) Even though I told her my dose multiple times, she said she would give me 1,800mg daily. I said no, no, no that would be 600 3 times daily and I need 1,200 3 times or somewhere near that because I was experiencing withdrawal since no one was giving me these basic pills anymore. Then she says, "you aren't experiencing withdrawal. You can't get withdrawal from this medication. You could go down to 600 3 times a day WITH NO EFFECTS AT ALL." SHE INSINUATED I COULD CUT MY DOSE IN HALF OVERNIGHT WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS.At this point, I start panicking. I say," no you don't understand I'm sensitive to meds, I've gone down on Gabapentin before and had these same terrible SYMPTOMS: sobbing and depression, irritable mood changes, thankfully not as bad as now", I felt crazy from the withdrawal and she said withdrawal from it isn't real, and that it was my own brain just getting stressed from fear of the situation.I said "NO. BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER MENTALLY FELT THIS BAD IN MY LIFE."And after all this!! She says she's never dealt with patients with psychiatric issues, so she doesn't know what the effects of going down could be on the brain. LITERALLY CONTRADICTED HERSELF! I WAS BAFFLED! And because I was panicking, FROM HER IGNORANT STATEMENTS, she said she didn't feel comfortable giving me ANY PILLS! I truly wonder if she just wanted to put me through emotional pain.So we leave, with nothing. I have no pills, and and withdrawing even more from my meds. On the way out she says she'll refer me to a psychiatrist who could maybe give me some of the pills (it takes 3 months MIN. to get an appt mind you.) We accepted, and my mom immediately called an old psychiatrist from months and months ago to get an emergency script of Gabapentin for me. A psychiatrist might I add, that was equally horrified and said you CAN WITHDRAW FROM GABAPENTIN. It has been over a month and we still have not gotten a referral to a psychiatrist from Bhullar. I have never been so horrified and scared for a doctor's future patients. She should be removed from her job immediately.

Dr. Bhullar was attentive and kind. She answered my questions honestly and clearly.

Dr. Bhullar truly cared about me and my pain. She did a thorough exam and set me up for an injection that took away the majority of my pain. I can now do more with my grandchildren. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

Compassionate listener. Felt she took my concerns seriously, used extensive knowledge to consider several options that might help. Was honest about an specific invasive treatment not being likely to help me, which I was grateful for. Listed options and encouraged trying conservative treatments.

Make sure you check your medical reports from your visits. If there are mistakes, and I’m sure there will be, when you call to tell her about the report being incorrect, she will fight with you about it. She is right you are wrong. Does not want to listen, will try and over talk you. I would not recommend her.

I was injured at work and after 3 foot surgeries I still could not get any relief and relied on narcotics provided by my surgeon. When I thought I was at the end of my "rope" my surgeon suggested that I see a Pain Management doctor. I am now a patient of Dr. Bhullar and feel that she has saved my life and am no longer using narcotics but rather nerve medication. She is wonderful, kind and most of all she listens to you. I am forever grateful!

She is very kind, listens well. Wonderful beside manner. Treated me so well and invited me back.
