Had Dr Esper as my cardiologist for many years and I had never had one bad experience. He was always extremely nice and thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients. I've moved to Florida and wish I could have brought him with me. The care that I have received since I came down here is no where near the great care I received at Capital.

Easy to speak with and thorough. Pretty much takes his time with you , however later day appointments may run late. Had a hearth cath and results were good. Using him going forward!

Very long in-office waits (45+ minutes in exam room). Near impossible to get on the phone when I needed clarifications on frequently changing medication doses for my parent (5-6 calls over a week with zero callbacks from Dr. Esper) during a critical care time after open heart surgery. I would also recommend that you be proactive with your own care when he is your cardiologist. You will need to advocate for your treatments (e.g. stress tests) as years can go by and he does not order them.

Dr Esper had me undergo some tests and never got back to me regarding the results.Although the Dr is in my medical plan the tests were submitted to my medical plan under Capitol Cardiology. Capital Cardiology is not part of my medical plan so the plan categorized the submission as out of network resulting in me having to pay $3,000+ out of pocket. If you use doctors and capital Cardiology make sure they both accept your medical insurance otherwise you will experience unnecessary out of pocket costs

He has watched over my health concerns for the past 26 years. I started with Dan from almost the beginning of his practice and have been more than satisfied with his medical advice. He listens to my concerns.

Dr Esper is outstanding. I have been a registered nurse for many years and have always been told by other nurses and doctors who have worked with him that Dr Esper is the best you can get. Another physician said he has the utmost respect for him because he is not only brilliant, he applies it to his practice and treats people with kindness and respect. Our family has gone to him for many years and can't say enough about him. His expertise, and bedside manner are unmatched.
