List of David K. Rabady's Reviews
I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Rabady as my surgeon when my retina and macula were detached. I truly believe he saved my eyesight. He is caring and I never feel rushed during my checkups. I really appreciate that he answers all my questions and addresses my concerns. He understands my fear of something else happening and acknowledges it while being very kind. I would highly recommend him for all related retina issues. I wish all doctors were as wonderful.
Dr. Rabady is a extremely proficient doctor. I have met many doctors, however this one is the best! His conceptual technological and humans skills are equal to none.
Dr Rabady was very up front about the seriousness of my retina detachment. Very caring, knowledgeable and informative. I felt very comfortable and reassured with the need for emergency surgery. Very thorough and personable.
I was injured at work resulting in a detached retina, he wanted nothing to do with workers comp and told me I had a serious emergency which required surgery the next day. He put oil in my eye which had to come out with another surgery 4 months later. The surgery was not successful and his reason was "I must have missed a hole" He did the second surgery put oil back in again and the day after he said he thought he saw a "buckle" and started to laser me in the office. He never told me I would be in any pain and when I jumped he said, "Oh you can't do that" I responded it hurt and he said " of course it is going to hurt" Four months later he took the oil out and informed me the retina still had an area that did not reattach. Instead of oil he put gas in which required me to do a face down for 10 days. After 8 weeks I was lifting grocery bags and the retina detached again. Another surgery! he put too much gas in the eye requiring 3 needles to extract the excess gas. I left for a new Dr.
He was called out two times in our brief meeting about sight in my only eye... next time he was condescending tone to us both and was 100% INCORRECT and insisted I had a new procurer before when I and my wife said NO, we've never seen this test before - never anywhere and why I questioned what it was to do. That was enough, done, when the Dr. 100% wrong go.
Dr. Rabady is and excellent surgeon and doctor.
I just had an eye peel with Dr. Rabady and 2 cataract surgeries with Dr. Zieker both went extremely well and was all done within 4 weeks. I would highly recommend this practice they are highly professional and great to deal with.
Simply put he saved my eyesight. Out of nowhere, appeared distorted vision. After 10 days, made an appointment to check it out. The practice got me in immediately and after the first look, referred me to Dr Rabday as had concerns. The next day, his examination revealed a macular hole. Never heard of such a diagnosis. He immediately calmed me by explaining what it was and what could be done to correct. It was important to act and surgery was scheduled within a week. He took concerned calls from my husband and took all the time we needed to understand all this diagnosis entailed. The surgery was a success and am forever grateful for his wonderful, professional demeanor and the necessary skills. It was the best decision to put my care in his hands.
Life-saver !!!! He gave me my life back. I was literally living in the dark . My diabetic retinopathy was mismanaged and getting worse . Dr Rabady rescued my Vison. He did a complex emergency surgery repair and I CAN SEE MY KIDS AGAIN. I haven't been able to since the last TWO years. THANK YOU. Dr Rabady and all the team at OCCR! Very compassionate yet professional and very prompt. I just wish I saw him earlier!!
I had a retinal vein occlusion in my right eye. I saw 3 dif. docs. at Op. Consultants.. the 3rd being Dr. Rabady. One of his recommendations was the opposite of one given by one of his associates, and when I brought this up, he addressed it by insisting that the DIAGNOSIS was the same. Though true, this didn't negate the fact that the RECOMMENDATIONS based on this diagnosis were opposites. Still, I trusted him and saw him a 2nd time. This time he said I was rapidly losing sight in my right eye and needed a series of shots starting IMMEDIATELY. I asked if this could several weeks and he insisted it couldn't. Nonetheless, I did not agree to the shots. Instead, he shot a laser into my eye, and 2 months later I sought a 2nd opinion from Dr. Brass (Latham). He found my sight to be nearly identical to an eyeglass prescription I received 2 years earlier. I just saw Brass for a 6 month check-up & he reports that my vision is unchanged and my right eye has healed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
