Terrible! Could never tell me where my pain was coming from, performed unnecessary surgery, rude, doesn't listen. Favorite answer for is can you live with it? Had to go elsewhere for a professional opinion after going through hell with this rude, dismissive, doctor. My opinions.
I have been with him since 2005. I wouldn’t want anyone else treating my bad knee. He knows his stuff and great at what he does. You want conversation? Go to a therapist.
I will not go anywhere else. He has done several of my surgeries. Very skilled as an md and a surgeon. He has caught errors with medications prior to surgery and showed more concern that my primary. He advocated for me and even took time to come up with a treatment plan.
Dr Aronowitz who a few years back had restored my knee when a former doctor of that office had told me I would just have to "live with my limitations" I had returned to the office for treatment and was scheduled to see Dr Aronowitz. He walked in, and in less than 5 min. just said, "let's fix this". Surgery was scheduled with great results and It has been several years I continue to have a stable pain free knee! Later I had a back issue that was determined to be neurological. After a second opinion from a neuro surgeon, I was to be scheduled for back surgery. I asked my primary for a referal to Dr. Aronowitz and within a brief visit he correctly provided a much different diagnosis that resulted in NO surgery and totally corrected my problem. If you are looking for warm and fuzzy, he may not fit your expectations but if you are looking for an Outstanding Orthopedic Physician, Dr. Aronowitz IS that person! I will forever be grateful for his ability.
Best Ortho doc around. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
When your times up he’s gone, in the midst of an important question he will just walk out and that’s it he’s done with you, and you don’t know what’s next. His favorite line is “can you live with it”? Obviously not if I’m there for help. He doesn’t prep before seeing you and makes mistakes because he shows no attention to the details of your problem if it’s not a simple fix. He doesn’t explain things and leaves you hanging with unanswered questions. He seems to have a good rep but my experience was he lacked attention to detail and didn’t listen to symptoms and dismissed an ongoing problem which was later confirmed by testing that I had to insist on. For simple orthopedics probably ok. My opinions.
Albeit sufficiently skilled, this Doctor is arrogant and rushed. He does not seem to like questions. He received the one star for a good result from a knee injection.
I saw Dr. Aronowitz for 2 different injuries. He was rude, arrogant and dismissive. He spent about 2 minutes with me each visit and appeared to resent me stopping him from leaving to ask questions.
I don't question his abilities, I qustion his demeanor. He may know his stuff but he needs to lighten up a little when he is conversing with a patient. He also shows no compassion for someone in pain. At least that is my experience. If you wnt someone to rush in and out of the office in less than 5 minutes - he's your man. I need someone who shows more compassion and takes the time to explain things without making me feel like he wants to rush out the door as soon as he walks through it.
Dr Aronowitz has done 3 of my surgeries and each time I’m more pleased with him and thenend result. This time there were some road blocks with my primary and he advocated for me. Made me respect him even more. I’ve never had a problem with surgeries or other issues. He’s amazing. I refuse to see anyone else
He is very knowledgeable, competent, and is very courteous. I recommend him very highly.
Dr. Aronowitz was very kind and very good at what he does. My shoulder surgery was extensive, however with his knowledge it is healing very fast! Thank you. The front office staff at the office in Schenectady is very rude, never smiles and makes you wait in line for a VERY long time! Not very friendly. The physicians and techs are awesome though.
I was referred to Dr Aronowitz after a work accident. His quiet manner and expertise. With the great respect for, I trust and highly recommend this doctor.
Dr. Aronowitz is the absolute best orthopedic doctor I've had, and I've had many. After three years of the same horrible pain down my knee to ankle, five different doctors, and two surgeries, Aronowitz was the only one to accurately diagnose and surgically fix the problem. Have had minimal problems since then that are related to that injury. Great doctor and surgeon.
-Dr. A. OPERATED ON MY LEFT ANKLE WHICH WAS BROKEN IN 3 PLACES. HE INSERTED A PLATE 5 SCREWS AND 4 PINS INNOVEMBER 2005 - I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SINCE THE OPERATION
His bedside manner is bad. He didn't answer my questions. At my first appointment he said I wouldn't be able to drive for a long time. I asked how long. He said a long time. That's not answering my question. The correct answer would have been at least three months. On my last appointment he took thirty seconds with me and then said(as he was walking away) "I guess you can do everything you want to do." Well, no, I can't do evertyhing I want to do. He didn't even ask me. The patient in the cubicle across from me said, " And he'll charge 600 bucks for that." I rated the staff a little low because they never smile. A friendly "Good morning" or "Good afternoon" would be nice.
I agree witht the other comments. Dr. Aronowitz is a poor listener and spends minimum time with the patient. If your problem isn't a surgical solution he can do, he sends you to PT as an afterthought. He is totally unable or unwilling to consider non-surgical solutions.
Dr. Aronowitz is a wonderful Doctor.I am so grateful to have him taking care of my daughter.
I have seen Dr. Aronowitz for rotator cuff tear/surgery, torn labrum, and other issues. Very knowledgeable, confident, informative. Have heard some people criticize his bed-side manner, but I found his straight-forward approach refreshing. He doesn't hesitate to answer questions, and I left confident I knew what was wrong with me, and confident Dr. Aronowitz would take care of the problem.
Dr. Aronowitz is usually very busy and in a hurry. He will answere questions but you need to make sure that you ask them. In a span of 6 months I went from being totally immobile to being able to run a mile in 6.5 minutes. Eric Aronowitz is a very competent surgeon.
