James D Alfandre's Online Review Report Card

When we went to Ortho NY for an ankle injury, I asked them about receiving the records from Albany Med ER from a week ago and the receptionist said we do not have it in the system. I asked the same question to Dr.’s assistant and he said the same thing and I showed my concern to him that we went to an extra length to get the record transfers and also got confirmation from ER. He gave some kind of nonsense response. Afterwards doctor Alfandre came into the room with an attitude like I have asked the wrong questions to his associates. He did not even touch the broken foot and suggested the treatment in an extremely rude and non caring manner. If you really want a good treatment and a civilized behavior from these messiahs, go somewhere else. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

I saw him three times and as long as he was getting money for quick cortisone shots he was happy but became dismissive and rude when asked to do more research. Always get a second opinion especially if a Dr is relying on old X-rays and MRI’s.

Doctor was clearly in a hurry. Asked questions and talked over me when I tried to answer. Didn't pay attention to anything I said. Waste of time seeing him.

I had one office visit with Dr. Alfandre and it will be my last. He was arrogant, perfunctory, and showed no empathy whatsoever. The appointment was rushed and I was left feeling dismissed and disrespected. I will be seeing a different surgeon. Not recommended

I have been going to doctor Alfandre for a couple years now. He is the best and I only have great things to say about him.

First visit - listened-gave my a cortisone shot and scheduled an MRI. Second visit - nothing went well. Third visit - macho attitude and I was told call me if you have any questions. Tried to schedule a fourth visit - no response.

My experience w/ Dr. Alfandre & staff went as smooth as possible. I had a slip on ice fall , broken my clavicle, bad concussion and shattered my upper scapula which left bone fragments floating causing pain and required surgery to remove. I could not have had a more pro team and decisive confident leader in Alfandre at a time when I was fearful and in pain. I would recommend he be the one that you put your trust in . Great manner and excellent results. No pain active again!

My daughter had a high ankle sprain, we had to see Dr. Alfandre b/c the original doctor was on vacation. What a horrible experience, Dr. Alfandre was so rude saying my daughters injury was ridiculous and she needs to be out of the boot and should be healed. He treated us like garbage. I will NEVER see him again and encourage ALL to see someone else. He is a horrible human being.
