real professional at his job, would recommend to anyone
The first time my husband saw Dr Rigolosi, he had a ficet block for lower back pain. It lasted two months (about average). Next time my husband saw him, my husband complained of sciatic pain and after reviewing medications, Rigolosi proceeded with giving him an epidural. Relief lasted about 3 days. When my husband scheduled another appointment for another epidural, the receptionist was surprised and commented that the dr normally doesn’t give an epidural due to my husband’s medication. She scheduled the appointment as requested. 9am appointment, wasn’t seen until 945, then while Dr Rigolosi is reviewing my husband’s medications with him, he told him he SCREWED UP at the last visit and NEVER should have given him an epidural because it could’ve paralyzed him! Then he offered to give him a ficet block and would squeeze him in next week. How confident would you feel letting him inject you? My husband declined. Definitely would NOT recommend Dr Rigolosi.
I have had back pain for a number of years. Dr Rigolosi has given me injections which have completely removed my pain for a year plus. I moved and had another Dr. inject my back. The injection was panful and only lasted a few months. I went back to Dr Rigolosi and had another injection with fantastic results
We cannot say enough about Dr. Rigolosi. He is so kind, caring and gentle with his patients. He takes time to listen and answer all questions. We highly recommend this wonderful physician! His assistant, Anna, is amazing as well. She puts the patient at ease. They are a top notch team!
I have been treated by Dr Rigolosi for several years for several years and am 100% satisfied with his care, treatment and professionalism. He has guided me through numerous spine injections and eventual spine surgery. The office staff and assistants are personable and professional. I recommend him to all.
I had an appointment with Dr. Rigolosi for a "second opinion" on a very painful spine problem I have been experiencing. He came in, announced my options (without asking a single question) and walked out of the room before I could ask a single question. He recommended that I take a yoga class or see a chiropractor-both not helpful. He reluctantly wrote a very general PT script that showed that he had not reviewed my information at all. Incredibly unprofessional.
I have had two back surgeries and have a lot of pain with my back. I am not interested in more surgery right away, and Dr Rigolosi has helped a lot with managing the pain. I feel really comfortable talking with him and his staff. He is excellent discussing issues, and is very straight forward. I would recommend him and his staff, to anyone dealing with chronic pain.
I swear I have more wrong with my spine and lower back than I do right...no joke! After extensive spinal surgery in Sept. 2016, I had a brief respite. Unfortunately, I am getting worse every day and it has been suggested that I have 2 more spine surgeries within a 3 day span, through my stomach instead of my back! Dr. Rigolosi met with me. Explained everything about the aforementioned surgery and calmed my fears and offered another solution of a lower spinal injection. The first 1 lasted a few days, which wasn't a let down since i have so many issues. I went back for my 2nd today. So far, so good! Dr. Rigolosi is a warm, friendly, highly knowledgeable man who cares about people and I'm glad I chose him to treat me!
I saw Dr. Rigolosi of right hip pain (bursitis). I will be having left knee replacement soon and was concerned the I would be unable to do my post-op rehab exercises with the r. hip pain, that it why I wanted to see if I could get some relief from the hip pain so I could accomplish all the things to get me better. Dr. Rigolosi's friendly greeting made me feel welcomed and relaxed. He explained the procedure and then asked if I had any questions, which I did. He answered them to my satisfaction. We proceeded to the room where the procedure took place and was introduced to the staff, asked if I was OK and comfortable. Everything went well and I am pleased already that the pain is eased. I would recommend this doctor. No fancy words, down to the facts and what to expect. Two thumbs up.
Absolutely the worst. Doesn't believe in many medical treatments, but doesn't answer questions about how to deal with serious documented issues... Doesn't believe in surgeons. Doesn't believe in pain medication. Refuses to return calls or faxes trying to ask some simple questions. I hate that he will be paid. Don't go unless you just want to waste yours or the insurance company's money. Communication and compassion go a long way. Without those and decent medical skills look out.
Dr. Rigolosi is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I am 87 and have seen many, including Duke Medical Center.. It's refeshing to find a knowledgable, professional, caring and communititive Dr. who explained my issues & alternatives. I left his office feeling uplifted and hopeful. He is great and I don't give compliments casually. His office staff was most pleasant too.. so there!
Dr. Rigolosi is the real deal! Professional and very skilled. I have a very arthritic back with some scoliosis and narrowing of disc space. I went to 3 spine surgeons for opinions and the decision was not to do any surgery on my spine. 2 out of 3. One was a neuro surgeon who is highly regarded in his field. Soooo between my Rheumatologist and Dr Rigolosi I have finally gotten some relief of the constant pain in my lumbar and sacroiliac region.I had the injection today and now 5 hours later I can sit comfortably and bend over without the pain I was experiencing in exactly those movements. And I am standing without pain in my right leg and buttock which was very difficult and debilitating. He is efficient as well as his staff. They are all very compassionate and do a great job. You can just tell when a Doctor is skilled and I really appreciate Dr. Rigolosi's skill with backs. I want to call up and see when I can have the other side done!!Thank you Dr. Rigolosi !
Dr. Rigolosi is the most caring Dr. I have ever experienced. He takes the time to listen to your concerns even when you know he is busy. He is gentle and makes you feel comfortable.
Outstanding Dr spent over 45 minutes with me explaining my condition, reviewing X-rays and MRI. Discussed all options clearly. Even said it wasn't a concern who performed procedures or surgury (OrthoNY or Bone & Joint) his main concern was that I just get better. Class individual with great bedside manner. All doctors should be this compassionate. Highly recommended!
Extremely professional, knowledgeable, informative and very caring. Spends significant amount of time with the patient, and answers questions and concerns in a clear and concise manner. Very patient and always willing to review his upcoming procedures and what is involved in his prescribed treatments.
I went to Dr Rigolosi for a 2nd opinion. Prior doctor offered no definitive plan after two consults and a MRI. Dr. Rigolosi took the time to go over MRI and offer different treatment options in a clear manner. He also arranged a shot treatment for the next day so my upcoming trip to N.C. might be pain free. Dr.Rigolosi was recommended by a good friend and I highly concur.
Went for a 2nd opinion with Dr. Rigolosi out of sheer desperation for a more natural approach to pain relief after 2 spinal surgeries with another doc. What a jerk! Took one look at me and then came the attitude. I could tell in the first 30 sec. he was disgusted by my weight. (215 lbs) He NEVER examined me. Told me unless I was there for surgical wires he couldn't help. Also, said it was up to me to "move" if I wanted to get better, then walked out. I had to follow him to request a script for acupuncture, which he snickered as he wrote it saying "good luck". I just received the report he wrote where he fat shamed me, indicating I was a "well developed, well nourished female". Treatment says lose weight. Really? I wouldn't refer a snake to him!!
Very professional in all aspects.
Very kind and supportive. Explains everything in detail and makes you comfortable.
Dr. Rigolosi is a pretty nice guy, and seems to sufficiently know his stuff. But his staff, specifically Antionette, make seeing this Doctor an unpleasant experience as they are rude and act as if patients are a bother to them. There are plenty of Doctors to go where you can have an overall better experience-thats what I did and am much happier for it!
