Attended visit for/with elderly family member. Dr Smith unlike, as I have discovered, other members of the same practice (due to CoVid) does not allow anyone to accompany the patient into exam. That was disappointing, but even more disappointing was after the exam Dr Smith’s refusal to discuss an important medical issue pertaining to patient end of life with me. Yes…I am on file as being approved to receive info pertaining to patient. “She didn’t have time”. This doctor is cold and uncaring.

Specializing in blood pressure control .... if she can’t get your BP under control idk who can..... she very strict and matter of fact.... but sometimes that’s wat we need!!!!She has been my blood pressure Dr. for over 20+ years!! One of the best!!!But if your not looking fir accountability along with medical treatment.... don’t bother bcuz she will hold you accountable and you have to do your part in controlling your health and well-being!!Blessings and wishing all the best in health!!!

She will tell you like it is, and what you need to do! She is honest and very helpful.

I have had one meeting with Dr. Smith and I like her. She went straight to the issues/concerns and I felt much better after our consult. She explained this be to me which I clearly understand now. Thank you very much Dr. Smith.

People either love or hate her style with patients. She is direct and can be rather curt, but I was told she is good, so I stuck with her. But, her overconfidence came back to haunt her, and it taught me a valuable lesson about working with doctors like her. As it turns out, Dr. Smith missed a very large hole in my heart. Doctors at New York City and Boston were shocked that she missed this. She instead prescribed a drug that caused severe insomnia, and then refused to attribute the insomnia to the drug. After I underwent heart surgery, I was advised to pursue legal action against her, but I decided against it. I am sure Dr. Smith is a knowledgeable doctor, but humility can often go a long way in treating (or possibly even saving) a patient.

I like Dr. Smith's no nonsense approach to my care. She is very open with her opinions and I feel that she trusts me to understand her intentions when she shares her insights on treatments, meds, tests, the way her office is running, or anything related to my care. She's certainly not a hand-holding "there, there" provider, instead putting her efforts into addressing your plan and its outcomes.

I appreciate Dr. Smith's direct approach. She responds to my questions with good, sensible advice, all without condescension. I like that. No wasted time. Her manner is pleasant and professional with me. I have been her patient for several years.

Saw her once many years ago. She seemed quite competent, not necessarily the best bedside manner, but not disinterested. She allowed me the time to discuss other issues unrelated to the heart and took the time to find the name of another doctor she thought could help me with those non-heart issues. The best doctors are often not the best communicators, but they usually do know their stuff. She is one of them.
