I had a total right knee replacement done on 11-12-2021 at buffalo surgery center, Dr stoeckl did a great job from the first time I met him, thru the surgery and into my 1st follow up. Knee feels good although still painfull off and on as explained and expected. Dr stoeckl is a great surgeon and caring human. I imagine my left knee will be in his hands a few months from now.

Been seeing Dr. Stoeckl for years. Great doctor and very friendly and his staff. Would not want to see any one else Excelsior Orthopedics is the best place to go to fix “dem bones”

Dr. Andrew Stoekel on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda, NY, refused repeatedly to prescribe antibiotics for my 91-year-old mother-in-law who had a deep wound in her leg after running into the corner of her bed. My wife, with advice from my sister, an emergency room RN, treated it for two weeks before calling Dr. Stoeckel again and sending photos of the wound when fresh and two weeks later when it was surrounded by a red rash. He continued to refuse to prescribe antibiotics, but did offer to send a wound care technician to our house in the middle of the pandemic. After 2 weeks we took her to Kenmore Mercy ER where they diagnosed a bacterial infection, injected an antibiotic, and prescribed both oral and topical antibiotics. If you want a doctor who puts doctrine over elderly patients' health and safety, then Stoekl is your man. If you want a doctor with an unmanageable ego, willing to let elderly patients die rather than admit error, then Stoekel is your doctor. He is no longer ours.

I had bilateral knee replacement in which Dr. Stoeckl had to remove a partial knee replacement first. He explained the process before hand and his follow up was great. I am no longer living in pain, can kneel, and would say have a normal life again. It's been over a year since my operation and if I ever had to go through it again, I would not give it a second through to have Dr. Stoeckl preform it.

There was a slight misunderstanding on my appointment date and upon arrival the receptionist was extremely courteous and understanding. The office was extremely busy but Dr. Stoeckl took the time to see me. He immediately impressed me with his great personality and outstanding bedside manner. After ex rays, he immediately diagnosed my condition, explained it’s cause, and provided his suggested treatments. After a cortizone injection I felt improvement the next day. I highly recommend him.
