Doctor galpin did my left hip osteotomy in August of 1997 when I was 11 I was physically the biggest patient you had ever done that procedure on 25 years later I’m happy to report pain free the surgery was done in London Ontario thank you again

My 13 year old daughter had pain behind her knee, and we, unfortunately, saw Dr. Galpin. He did x-rays, blew her off and sent her to PT for inflammation. A YEAR later, when she had more severe pain, we went back for x-rays, and discovered she had bone CANCER. After the fact, we realized Dr. Galpin saw a “cyst” (which was actually a TUMOR) a year before, and NEVER MENTIONED IT! Had I known there was a “cyst”, I certainly would’ve followed up sooner. This could have been life or death, and he blew it off. Thank goodness we caught it a year later. There were tumors up and down her tibia, and she had to have 20+cm of it removed.

I would never recommend Dr. Galpin. He diagnosed my sons rolled ankle as a growth plate fracture. An X ray will not show a possible break there because it is cartridge. Only an MRI will reveal that yet, he ordered another X-ray which only shows the bone. Besides being arrogant, I was forced to pay the copay for a second X-ray. I feel as though this was a cash grab and possibly insurance fraud. My son was also scheduled to see him yet, the day before I was contacted and told he would have to see a PA.

Dr. Galpin really has no bedside manner. He is quite condescending actually called me "mom". He never took the time to get to know my young son and assumed we knew how to care for a disconnected patella. He didn't take the time to review/respond to the PT my son receives. I didn't like how he never sits down when we're in his office and he has this annoying habit of moving toward the door to make a quick escape. So unprofessional. I would not recommend Dr. Galpin as an orthopedist for children of any age.

The visit here for my toddler was very smooth and efficient. The doctor and PA were very knowledgeable and nice. They were quick to return my call as well as setting an appointment with in a few days!! I definitely recommend this doctor and office.
