I recently had a total knee replacement done due to an old injury. Dr. Rachala completed the surgery. When I say this man is amazing, I mean AMAZING! I had NO bruising, my pain was under control the entire time. I went home the SAME DAY and I was back to work in TWO WEEKS! Yes, TWO WEEKS. His bedside manner is a 10 star, this doctor knows exactly what he is doing and he does it VERY WELL!!!! I traveled 1.5 hours one way, just to have a visit with this doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs any lower extremity work done! Always professional and pleasant to deal with. If I could give him 10 stars, I would because he deserves them all! Thank you Dr. Rachala!!!

I've had severe osteoarthritis in both my hips and knees. Six years ago Dr. Rachala replaced my right knee and this year I had both hips and my left knee replaced. That's a lot of hardware in such a short time, but each surgery went flawlessly with minimal recovery time. He is thorough, compassionate and he even gives out his personal cell phone number in case of any concerns. Dr. Rachala, in my opinion, is the finest orthopedic surgeon in the Buffalo area and he gets my highest recommendation.

Two years ago Dr. Rachala replaced both my knees.. one in Feb. and one in May. He is a kind and compassionate doctor. My only complaint is that my left knee continues to be numb and is painful when pressed upon and cannot be kneeled on. Therefore I can't get on the fire or I'll never get back up. I am not sure if there was nerve damage but compared to the constant pain when walking pre surgery, this is a bug improvement.

Helped me with another Surgeon's screw-up and fixed it perfectly! Now 7 years later, replaced my other hip withe a new procedure called "cement free". Surgery done at Buffalo General Hospital. What I thought was crazy though, is the you check in the hospital at 12:30pm, surgery is done at 3:30pm and you are discharged the next day at 2pm! And you are handed one sheet of paper that highlights the 5 PT exercises you should do at home , on your own!

Dr. Rachala has replaced both hips and both knees for me. I wouldn't trust anyone else - I've been told that he is, by far, the best knee and hip replacement surgeon in Western NY. He was very thorough in answering any questions I had and even gave out his personal cell phone number should I need to call him. His office does not answer phone calls personally, however - you have to leave a message. But every time I've called I've gotten a return call quickly. I don't understand the negative reviews because they don't match the experiences I've had over 6 years time. highly recommend Dr. Rachala.

My left hip started in 1972, so I have a long history of pain and distruction of the hip, not to mention dislocation since around 1996. I had my doubts the replacement and leg length could be reset. Dr. Rachala did what I thought would never happen! I'm doing things I have not been able to do since the mid 70's. After 3 doctor's told me they could not fix it, Dr. Rachala came through for me. :)
