Dr Cheng is a compassionate doctor. He spends time with you and answers your questions and explains answers. He does not rush through appointments. He’s truthful and caring.

The initial analysis of my symptoms or lack there of, was multiple myeloma. Dr Cheng ordered a complete set of tests that indicated I have Waldensyrom Macroglobulinemia. A rare form of blood cancer. When I asked about a second opinion, he encouraged it. If there was any question about the diagnosis and treatment recommended, he suggested for another opinion at the Cleveland Clinic. However, Roswell Park doctors agreed with Dr Cheng diagnosis and treatment. Dr Cheng always takes his time to explain all the test results and recommendations. You can tell he cares about his patients as a person and not just a number.

My case is complex. Dr. Cheng had clearly reviewed my prior testing & medical as well as familial history. He was very warm, welcoming and compassionate throughout the appointment. He provided excellent, detailed information regarding my conditions, repeatedly checking for understanding as well as making certain to allow for additional questions. He clarified details of my conditions that other physicians clearly didn't have the knowledge about--this was most reassuring!
