Mark Yassa's Online Review Report Card

Dr Yassa is a skilled doctor who is well educated and is quiet knowledgeable. He is compassionate and he understands the needs of his patients. He takes the time and really listens to his patients, getting to the root of problems. Other doctors are quick to dismiss pain, where as Dr Yassa wants to find the cause and solve it.

He is a kind compassionate doctor who cares about his patients. He really takes the time to explain things, hear your concerns, and he is gentle compared to other male doctors I’ve seen. He was able to diagnose a chronic condition I did not know I had, as well as treat it and continue to guide and support me through procedures and surgeries. He is excellent.

Dr Yassa listens. He is so compassionate and he finally diagnosed me with stage 4 endometriosis after years of seeing other providers and them not taking my pain seriously. I was 37 when he finally diagnosed me, performed laparoscopic surgery, and helped me to feel relief for the first time in decades. Dr. Yassa is an amazing doctor! I’m was a high risk patient (because of previous loses, age and IVF) and he had seen me my whole pregnancy. He always answered all of my questions, he’s very caring and took great care of me during my time of high blood pressure’s and other complications. I could be holding my baby in my arms right now if it wasn't for him! This clinic started doing blood work on me the very day I told them I was pregnant. I met with Dr. Yassa the appointment after my first blood draw and ultrasound to discuss my pregnancy. I believed I was 5 weeks along, but he told me I was much earlier than that based on my blood work and the fact that no sac was showing up on the ultrasound. What he failed to tell me is that my progesterone was 7.7. I'm with a new OB now who has since told me that anything under 10 in a pregnancy needs to be supplemented with prescription progesterone ASAP. Not only did Dr. Yassa not give me anything for my low progesterone, he never even told me it was low! The only reason I even found out is because I looked at my medical records after I miscarried 2 weeks later (which is what happens when progesterone doesn't pick up). Was in too much of a rush to care about me or my baby. Do not recommend him for pregnancy (especially high risk)

Even if he didn't want to give me the progesterone suppositories, he could've still told me. Then I could've done my own research and used OTC progesterone creams. But he took that option away from me! The only reason I even found out is because I looked at my medical records after I miscarried 2 weeks later (which is what happens when progesterone doesn't pick up). He also lied in my records and claimed to discuss prenatal vitamins with me. He never did and I had no idea how important they were because of that. I can only guess this was all because he was in in too much of a rush to care about me or my baby. I do not recommend him for pregnancy (especially if you're high risk, like me). Turns out, I have a problem with low progesterone even when not pregnant. So I now have to use progesterone suppositories after ovulation every cycle and will need to continue them when I get pregnant again. This is how a good OB treats their patients.
