Ambrose Pipia's Online Review Report Card

Tried to make an appt with Dr. Pipia ( my primary Doctor) in early September because I had a bad cough n fever. I was told that the next appt was in late OCTOBER, which I did not make bc that was outrageous. On October16th I got covid and requested an appt and I was told next available was inlate NOVEMEBR. Finally I called for an emergency appt ( bc I was still coughing and feeling sick) on Monday 10/31/22 n was told they would get back to me, that day. They didn't call me until Wednesday. I finally saw Doctor Pipia on Wednesday at noon, who told me that my lungs were still congested and inflamed, most likely from Covid. He stated he was going to send 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy immediately of which he confirmed with me. That never happened. I called on Thursday n Friday n spoke to the staff who reached out to the Doctor both days with No Response. On Monday I pleaded with Jasmin to plz help me, as I was still feeling terrible n coughing. Finally late Monday, 2 scripts was sent to my Pharmacy from another Dr at this office, a Dr. Chang and Jasmin notified me. That is 5 days of needless suffering and it could have been much worse. When I originally chose Dr. Pipia, this year bc I was living in Whitestone, I thought this would run like a normal family type of practice I was dead wrong. I also had a delay of almost 3 weeks of my medication ( which I was taking for approx 3 yrs ) from the Cardiologist at this location bc of an administrator named Matt, apparently not the Doctors fault. I just had my yearly checkup last Friday. I was offered a 8:30 am or 11:00 am in just two days. So I took the 11:am. The waiting time was about 20 min. The front desk people were pleasant and they made sure they had all the information they needed. Maria, a medical assistant, saw me first and checked my weight and blood pressure. She also did an EKG and took blood samples. She is extremely pleasant and professional. Dr. Pipia came in and he reviewed all the information gathered and gave me a Dementia test. He is a very caring person. Not that I like going to doctor visits, but in this case I know I will be treated well.

Great doctor! Super friendly and always takes his time to go over your health history and exam. He doesn't rush you nor skip any questions. The front desk ladies are very nice and professional especially the staff member whom worked with him in his old office.

Dr. Pipia is very informative and spends time with his patients. Doctor was very understanding and spent time explaining my condition to me. The staff is very friendly and helpful when you have questions. The office is modern and clean. Would definitely recommend this office and physician.

If I could, I would give 0 stars. The front desk secretaries are the worst ever. They're rude and unprofessional. They always screw up information when sending out referrals and medical forms. They also don't understand the concept of emergency. Need to make an appointment right away because you're sick? Forget about it because they don't care. The office environment is hostile because of them. Please fire them and hire better people.

My Sister went to this person he diagnosed her with Pnemonia, only later to change it to COPD! Put her in Mt. Sinai in Queens hospital. Terrible hospital matches the doctor. After many tests he sent her home with many, many drugs. Since she came home on Wednesday, she has been laying in bed popping the pills that he gave her. She weighs 93 pounds and I don't know how much longer she can go on like this. Great Doctor hasn't even called to see how she is doing!!!! Pat Collins

I happen to really love Dr. Pipia and Dr. Patel who are both in this office. Stay away from Dr. Diboi - she has a nasty attitude.

Dr. Pipia is such a great doctor! I live in Flushing and I am willing to travel all the way to Astoria and/or Whitestone just to receive his care! I was referred to him by my other doctor and have been seeing him for about 4 months now. The wait time is pretty long, but it is worth it! He is sincere and very funny!

I went to this guy for an over due physical today. The office was Modern, clean, and staff was organized. The wait was about 40 mins too long but I guess to be expected considering that he was thorough with me. Intelligent doctor, but needs a new haircut lol!

Dr Pipia might be OK if he works with a different staff, where they do not have priorities by a specific race or origin. I have spoke with different patients and was told they have the same feeling about the staff. They discuss in front of patients, it does not matter if is something about the patient's or about problems between them, "working as a team". They are not professionals. They are just machines making money. Everytime I went to see the Dr I had to loss at leat 3 hrs, and worse if I had to have the yearly appoitment. They didn't want to give me a early morning schedule and I had to be without eating all this time to have my blood test and urine test done. they usually give appoitments for 10:30 or 11:00am and you have to wait 2 hrs before seen by the dr to have the order and then wait again to be done with those test if you are lucky, other wise you have to go to another place to have your test done. You always hear the staff complaining about their work and what one this to the other, blaa, blaa, blaa.
