Excellent bedside manner! Dr Vanriper was very professional and friendly. He took the time to speak with me and explain things. He answered all my questions thoroughly. He was honest and realistic, very down to earth. I highly recommend him !

Dr. Vanriper is an unprofessional doctor. He was very rude towards me during my appointment. I called the office today to schedule an appointment with another doctor because of how uncomfortable the doctor made me feel. He didn't want to answer any questions I had. Automatically just gave me a diagnosis without testing my hormones or didn't do any blood work for that matter. I don't advise anyone to choose this place.

The staff is efficient and pleasant. The facility is clean. I’ve never had a long wait-time, despite that twice, he had an emergency at the hospital. One time, I was called hours away from an appointment to reschedule due to an emergency, and despite covid, it’s been easy to get an appointment scheduled and to plan on the amount of time appointments will take out of our day. Dr. VanRiper is good-natured and has an easy, pleasant bed-side manner. I transferred to his care as a 50+ divorcee and have felt comfortable and unjudged when addressing my feminine health needs and questions. Their patient-care computer program is comprehensive, so I’ve felt like the WHOLE patient’s health is being taken into consideration, from mental wellbeing to specific age-related issues regarding physical gyno-health, with both the m.a. staff portion of the visit to the actual exam. We all know how uncomfortable an annual gyno-exam can be, but VanRiper provides care that feels safe and comfortable while addressing our private intimate female care-needs, maintaining healthy boundaries without coming across as dismissive distance. Top-notch provider from top-to-bottom.

Arrogant, dismissive and interrupted me throughout my consultation with him. What happened to compassionate physicians who actually listen to their patient’s needs? Time for Zeus to come down from Mount Olympus.

Abhorrent bedside manner, doesn't knock before entering, ignores patient concerns, radiates an aura of being rushed, interrupts. Even a superior knowledge set with expert-level obstetrical skill cannot make up for a condescending provider and a total lack of empathy.

I needed a gynecologist immediately to fix a problem that arose over the previous weekend. I was planning to take a flight the following Saturday. I called this office. The receptionist couldn’t have been nicer. Dr. Van Riper agreed to see me that afternoon. He scheduled me for surgery in two days. His office followed up with phone calls to see how I was feeling and facilitated the paperwork I needed to submit to the airline to get a refund. They also fit me in for an appointment 5 days later so I could fly out a few days later. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. It was a true pleasure to deal with that office and Dr. Van Riper.

I was diagnosed with infertility due to pcos and a thyroid condition. For 16 years I seen dozens of Dr.s and went on hormones, clomid... All sorts of things until they said there was no possible way my husband and I would ever conceive. I heard Dr. Van Riper was the guy to see for this from a woman who helped conceive after 20+ years of infertility. My first appointment he ask what's wrong I tell him I can't have kids, he says of course you can. Examines me and says he needs to flush my tubes... I went to the hospital a month later where he then did the procedure. Now I spend my days being bossed around by my two year old. He is nothing short of a miracle worker.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. VanRiper. He is straight forward but yet has the compassion and caring personality you expect from your doctor. I had some major issues going on and he made me feel like I was in good hands and I would be well taken care of. To me he is a God sent and I totally trust his medical expertise and would highly recommend him. I don't think you'll find a better doctor than him!

Dr. Vanriper was very rude and unprofessional in communicating with me. He was very judgmental and insulted me. He was also very rude to the nurse in the room with me. I requested to change doctors and my request was denied by him, which I assume was due to his spiteful pride. I wish I would have had a midwife. The receptionist was wonderful on the other hand.
