List of New York Spine & Pain Physicians - Babylon's Reviews
I struggle with several autoimmune conditions that cause a great amount of pain, which is debilitating. On top of this, I have severe scoliosis and have been in extreme pain for many months. Due to the amount of pain and illness that I have I've had to cancel several appointments and always rescheduled. I have recently been told that I've canceled too many times so I have to be pulled from being a patient. I thought this was pain management? The amount of stress not getting help as only added to my pain. On top of it, I have called several times to reschedule recently as I had to cancel my most recent appointment due to having the flu. I've had to leave several messages asking to be called back to reschedule and not once did I get a call back. I called today and was transferred to a manager where I had to leave a message again. I understand the policy however exceptions can be made. This is not quality of care. In my opinion this is very cruel treatment of someone that's just looking for a break in their pain!
It’s funny how my review disappeared. The first time everything went well with my visit. Visit number two for herniated disc sitting on a nerve. He mentions injections I said I don’t want injections. He turns his chair looks me straight in the face and says then what are you doing here? He mentioned I was too old for anything else. Mentioned it a few times. There is ablation and other procedures. His practice should be called Injections and more injections. I know they only last a short time and you’re back again for another round of injections. No thanks and my the way I am not too old for other procedures Linda Schrank
This place is a joke. They discharge my partner because we didn't call to tell them. But when there doctors leave and we travel from queens all the way out and there doctors leave they don't tell us. And the Doctor Albert who was her doctor didn't even have balls to tell her he was discharging her. He is a coward. We will be contacting the New York sate surgeon General and the New York state health department about patient abandment. Which is what he did after prescribing here a ridiculous amount of oxy. For about 2 or 3 yrs. This place is ran by doctors that don't care what damage they have done.
I have to say I am too young to suffer from chronic back pain. If it wasn’t for New York Spine & Pain, I would not be walking right now. After my back surgery they have been treating me and they listen to what I say and treat accordingly. I would recommend Dr. Johnson. The whole team is great actually!!!
I was given this Doctor and was told the practice is wonderful Suzanne McKinnon
I had an appointment on Wednesday 11am for an SI joint injection. I went into the procedure room. It was Dr. Johnson and 1 other. Dr. Johnson owned up Shield and all. He told me to lay down on the table put my stomach over the pillow. For my height the pillow should have been positioned higher so as to put my head through the face pillow. He stated "no just get on the table". I did. He lowered the back of my pants, sprayed anesthetic and proceeded with the invasive procedure. The needle went in, I screamed like nobody's business. It felt as if he emptied the plunger with severe force at once. I yelled get it out. He yelled Abort Abortto whom was he yelling abort to? He was the only one (DO) inserting the needle? At the front desk check out I was told to schedule appt for Southside out pt. What?? No!! my leg is still burning the severe inability to ambulate the nerves are, I feel, traumatized. Lack of sleep positioning pain is very bad. He must've nicked something down the outside of the left leg is severely burning. He was confused and in denial of which meds he told me to take. He only remembered how he wanted to believe he said it!!! I said verbatim as the dialog went!! He then stated if I did I was wrong!! Ok Dr. But these are meds you told me to take this way. Theyre in the IOS!! Now what ?no f/u x3 days not one call. he remembered psych meds. Zoloft works. There's no response back from HR, No call from that office r/t aftercare how are you Ms? Can we help you with one of our other DO's? My friend was very upset as she drove me home. If you hurt one you hurt ALL!!! Had to pick a star or you can't post
It's been 7 years and Dr Finkelstein has managed my pain effectively. He uses the most up-to-date procedures. His NP is great she is knowledgeable and caring. The staff is courteous and friendly .The office has continued to improve year after year.
Caring and knowledgeable…and punctual! Dr. Finklestein is the best and has been treating me for a few years. I have referred several friends to him.
I have been seeing PA Barbara Somers for 2 yrs regarding my spine / neck/ and lumbar region . She goes above and beyond to keep my pain at bay. She's caring and answers all of your questions . If you are suffering from Chronic Pain go and meet her. I'm not out of pain but now I can control it with her help. Thanks Barbara.
They are the best I’ve been a patient for 15 years and they always treated me with the best of care

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
