Daniel J Kohane's Online Review Report Card

I’ve been seeing Dr kohane for over 4 years. He’s extremely strict but in a good way. He’s offered every option to help me not be dependent on medication. Anyone who’s had a bad experience with him probably has misused their medication. I fully trust he knows what he’s doing and is understanding to his patients needs.He is always offering me help with my pain with minor procedures and checks on me while I’m waiting after a procedure. His staff has been nothing but kind to me and my wait time never goes past a 1/2 hr . I highly recommend this practice along with Dr Albert .

Dr. Kohane is a great doctor, he keeps everything 100 percent and cares about the patients he has. Wish more doctors could be like him.

This “doctor” performed a procedure on me which should have been done under anesthesia. He could not “find” my mri so he just went in blind. The shot worked for 4 days. I don’t believe this man should be in practice.

Truthfully I think Dr. Kohane is amazing but the staff and the answering service is horrible ! I had an appointment with the doctor he sent me for an MRI I had a follow up appointment that they canceled on me now I’ve been trying to call and get an appointment and I was told that right now he has nothing until the second week in January that’s insane and I asked If they can just have the dr Cale back to go over results I was Told no. The availability and the flexibility to existing patience is really poor

I was recommended to see Dr. Kohane after my accident five years ago. I was a mess and in horrible pain. Dr. Kohane and his PA Tara are both amazing Their kindness and carrying loving attitude makes you feel better already. Injection helping trough each year. I appreciate it Dr. Kohane staff and their very clean office. Recommending in a heartbeat

I have been a patient of Dr Kohane’s since literally his first week with the practice over 7 years ago. He has been my savior , and the only Dr I can count on still through my journey with this rare pain condition I have. It bothers me deeply to see people slander his name or say he only cares about $$ , because I know that personally not to be true. He has on multiple occasions sent me to see other Dr’s, that are not affiliated, who he thought could possibly help me in ways he couldn’t. He has always gone above and beyond, he even takes a moment each visit to ask me about my kids. This is not a man who only cares about $$. I think people also need to remember what is going on in the world around us these days. Dr’s are coming under fire and are also having their hands tied by governmental “BS” (my opinion) regulations. But That is not the Dr’s doing. And if you have a problem with the office staff, ask for the office manager. She cares about the patients there was well. If you are fortunate enough to be under the care of Dr Kohane , consider yourself lucky.

My experience with the Bay Shore office was not a good one to be blunt. This is the second pain management Dr. that I have tried. The reason I moved to Dr. Culhane was a great first consultation, after that it was all down hill. I would say the front office is the party that dropped the ball on my second and third attempts at procedures. One time they let me wait in the waiting for one hour even after I was 10 minutes early to my appointment as requested. What is the point of having an appointment if they are going to have you sit there. Everyone's time is valuable i'm sure you would all agree. The third time I specifically took a half day at work and booked my appointment 3 weeks in advance to get a procedure done and was told the Thursday before the Monday of the procedure that my appointment would have to be moved or cancelled because the Dr. chose to move his schedule around due to the holiday. This place is a mill, you are a # there not a patient, do not bother wasting your time with them.

If there were zero stars I would rate him an absolute zero. Dr. Kohaine is currently under a review for improper medical practice and his response to the inquiry was filled wirh lies. He also deletes any negative reviews he recieves. He actually "bribes" patients" by not giving meds unless you have epidurals booked, even when he was made aware of concerns of the negative side effects of the numerous epidurals .scheduled. And now hes pushing spine srimulators. Sadly, hes just concerned wirh his $$ bottom line instead of the health and well being of his patients. And his office?????? Lol. 3-4 days on average to even get a response response, and thats lucky you even can get a live person on the phone....Im sure this "doctor" will remove this post. But I will make it a mission to make sure the findings of the ongoing investigation will be made public. No matter how many forums i need to make a review on......STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK

Dr kohane is the best he has helped me with my severe pain since my car accident in2014 Caring compassionate doctor and staff spotless office.

He is the most wonderful caring compassionate doctor I have ever met. If he ever moves out of state or the area my husband said we could follow him he keeps my quality of life and pain bearable. His PA Tara is amazing she knows exactly where to get triggerpoints and everything else I feel so safe in her hands. Without Dr. Cohans staff in the surgical suite the experience wouldnt be as great as it is everyone knows their job does it and they work together like a well oiled machine. The front desk girls are amazing Felicia is a multitasker I think she knows every job in the place and Danielle is just a little whirlwind and makes you feel so happy with her smile . Elsa is my little angel she makes everything work from the insurance to the medications and their rooms.
