Great Dr. Very thorough and caring. Extremely knowledgeable & experienced.
Dr Tabershaw made me feel welcomed and very comfortable in his office. He has a great bedside manner. Made me feel back to normal after 1 visit. His assistant Mike worked magic. If I could give 100 stars, this office would get it.
Dr. Tabershaw, all the PA's, and his office staff are all amazing. He did both my shoulders . He's a kind and caring man and will do the right thing for you.
P.A. Mike Polidoro is awesome like everyone else said!! I went to them after a fall at work. They did shoulder surgery. Also, I couldn't even turn a hairbrush due to the pain in my hand and thumb. Mike did an injection of Cortisone an Markaine. 100% relief! Even if it only lasted a few months and hurt like hell going in. I got use of it again. The only con is some of the staff who take phone calls ("Diane") take it upon themselves to attempt to diagnose, give medical advice, opinions and decide what messages they are going to give the doctors. Rude, passive aggressive, unprofessional.
Dr. Tabershaw has helped me and my family over the course of the past 5 years. My knee problems from catching as a child to dancing on the dance floor back before the Covid times. With his help I am able to do activities that once hurt while doing. I strongly recommend him for anyone that is seeking orthopedic help!
Dr. Tabershaw was very thorough and compassionate with explaining the problems with my ankle. He spent a lot of time going over all of my other medical issues, which could be affecting my pain. I would highly recommend this doctor
Deceptive billing practices. I was given a back brace for my son and told by the PA that it would be covered but if anything I may receive “a small bill”. I was later sent a bill for $1000 for a brace that I could’ve purchased on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. To add insult to injury we were later told by a specialist that the brace was completely unnecessary and to stop wearing ASAP. Multiple phone calls back and forth led us nowhere and we were then placed in collections. Never again.
So I was sent to this office by Urgent Care in West Babylon. Originally diagnosed with bad tendinitis and told to ice , elevate, use crutches, don’t drive and wear the flat foot boot that I purchased at Urgent Care. 24 hours later I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance with a broken foot. Fast forward to Monday, 4 days after my fracture. Justine was great, took more X Rays told me to keep up with ice elevation and staying off of it. She instructed me to call her on Friday and she would refill my pain meds no problem. I call Friday, Justine is off the covering Dr or PA basically tells me he can’t help me. Now I have to find away to get to my doctor (MD) , who btw had no problem writing the prescription. I’m sorry but to leave a new patient with a broken foot, unable to drive and without any meds besides Tylenol is completely unacceptable. I’m a very nice person but this was the ultimate case of Pass the Buck. I’m so upset that I’m finding a new orthopedic surgeon. Not even an apology from the office, nothing. Just so wrong. Simultaneously I’m taking care of my 6 year old son, dealing with my Godmother on a ventilator in the hospital and being blown off by this office. So upset that I will not be returning here.
Went to him for a consult for a knee that was locking up when I did squats or bent down . Well he said I had a torn meniscus , told me he could repair it with Laparoscopic surgery. When I came out of surgery he told me he could not repair the tear so he took out the part of the meniscus he could not repair ? I did not give him permission to do anything but repair , I had no pain it just locked up / well fast forward 6 months and know I’m going to get injections for the pain in the knee because the knee is now bone on bone because of his surgery I did not authorize!!! Fast forward a year and I had to get a knee replacement ( not by him ) my life will never be the same !! The guy is a butcher anything for a buck !! Don’t go to this guy !
The staff is unprofessional when dealing with patient especially over the phone, Dianne put me on hold and was very harsh the way she talked and discuss my concern, just the tone of her voice made me so uncomfortable and and aggravating, she’ll make you feel that she doesn’t have time for you. Patient satisfaction is always emphasize in any establishment and she is not trying even a bit to be courteous and welcoming.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
