I saw Dr Kohan just for check up. After the tests result became available, he personally called me and gave detailed advice with much patience and care. Tell me which doctor these days calls the patient himself and talk like Dr Kohan ?
I first saw Dr. Kohan in 2013 for a TURP, and was fine afterwards. I didn't need his services since then, but this week I developed a UTI. I tried scheduling an appointment on line but it didn't work. I called the office, and the young lady who answered got me an appointment the next day.I got to the office early and filled everything out. My pet peeve is always waiting and unfortunately this appointment was no exception. After the nurse took some blood and a urine sample Dr. Kohan came in and we went over my symptoms and he prescribed an antibiotic to be on for 2 weeks. All my experiences with Dr. Kohan have been positive which is why I keep seeing him.UPDATE: 12/28/21 A few days after my appointment, Dr. Kohan followed up with me to tell me about the test results and to see how I was feeling. How many doctors do that themselves anymore today, especially at night!

Great Experience! He was very patient and thorough with my dad. Answered all our questions and explained everything in details. Very caring and knowledgeable!
Very good experience with Dr. Kohan. Competent, pleasant and thorough. Have seen many Urologists over the years; certainly, one of the best.
He seems concerned about his patients but when I had an appointment I was asked to give a urine sample (did not go for that) and a charge was reflected on my bill. Also he prescribed meds that were not FDA approved. Questioned him about it and he said lots of meds aren't..really!! well they had carcinogens and other harmful ingredients in them. I have to trust a doctor to make me well not to prescribe harmful meds I feel like the office is nickel and diming the insurance company. Not going back.
Simply the best in the business. My father was suffering with other urologists. Dr Kohan’s conservative approach made his treatment and life so much easier. God Bless you doc.
If I could give this office zero stars I would! Some of the staff working at this doctors office needs to find some compassion for patients! To have a patient waiting for test results for days is heartless. Linda was very nasty and started raising her voice immediately, telling me we are in a pandemic, talking over me and being very rude. To use the excuse of the pandemic to make people wait for results is weak at best. You would think during a pandemic you would have a little more empathy for patients. This office is sitting on test results for DAYS!Was also hung up on a week prior by another receptionist there saying, “I can’t handle this right now” click. Could you believe that?! I can’t!Dr. Kohan, do yourself a favor get yourself a new answering service and people representing your business because this is ridiculous to be treated in this manner. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone. You should NEVER leave patients waiting for test results! Especially during these times.
In 2013 , after going out to Manhattan looking for great specialists , I decided to visit Dr Kohan , and after sees him once He suspected that my husband might have a tumor, he sent a prolactin exam, and he had a considerably sized tumor, I am very appreciative that in the first visit he was able to find the problem
Well experienced and understanding. Takes his time to explain in detail and over view process and diagnosis.Thank you Dr. Kohan

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
