I originally went to Dr. Rothman on recommendation from a friend for cataract surgery evaluation. On a return visit before surgery I told Dr. Rothman that my vision in my left eye seemed off. (had previous cataract surgery on this eye several years earlier by another doctor) He checked my vision and dismissed me. Returns for a second visit around two months later and told Dr. Rothman that my vision had definitely changed in my left eye and found it very disturbing. His exact quote was “why are you looking through one eye? And proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong and totally dismissed me. WRONG!!!!! I then went for a second opinion to another ophthalmologist and was referred to a neuro Ophthalmologist. Even though my second opinion doctor didn’t see anything he still referred me to check it out further. Next step was an MRI Prescribed by the Neuro ophthalmologist . Meningioma pressing on my left optic nerve what is the cause. 28 radiation treatments followed. Because of Dr. Rothman‘s HUGE EGO, I have permanent vision damage!!! Which could have been treated much earlier. One star is too good a review.

This is the first time I go to Dr. Rothman's office and it was a great experience. The staff are friendly, respectful, work well together, and informative. The wait for the whole experience it can take 2 hours or more for a new patient (including tests). The staff moves the process pretty quickly.The office is clean and well maintained. Dr. Rothman is very thorough, educates you, efficient, and straight to the point.

Dr. Rothman has proven to be knowledgeable, very capable and possess the rare characteristic of bedside mannerism. However, his surgical coordinator "Nancy" cannot be held to the same standards as the good Doctor. For the past week and a half I've made countless attempts at scheduling my surgery but "Nancy" is either never in the office, never available, never ever picks up her extension and certainly never return phone call or messages. Shame on you NANCY!!!

I was treated in Florida for Glaucoma and follow up in the summer with Dr. Rothman. Dr. Rothman is very caring, I feel very comfortable with his treatment of my specific problems, he is an excellent doctor.
