Orlin and Cohen received 82.8% positive feedback, with patients praising the professional manner, thorough explanations, and successful surgeries. However, 17.2% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing dismissive behavior, rushed consultations, and misdiagnoses. Overall, the practice is appreciated for its skilled surgeons, yet it needs better communication and diagnostic processes.ScoreDoc Score

List of Brian N. Morelli's Reviews
Dr Morelli is no nonsense and shows he cares about my situation. I highly recommend him! He was a Great choice…
The dr gave me (a 19 year old) steroids to treat back pain that he said was all in my head and that he “didn’t even have to X-ray me to know what was wrong was just stress” and that all us “nursing majors are the same you all assume your dying and there’s nothing wrong w you” well his steroids didn’t work I’m still in severe pain and his attitude was cocky and arrogant and smug. He made me uncomfortable. I had to physically slap his hand away from me bc he was being too touchy. I don’t remember his name but he has a very deep voice white guy tall large man.
Dr Morelli misdiagnosed a back problem as a hip problem. He brings new meaning to the word incompetence. Would leave zero stars if possible. Use at your own risk, best to stay away.
I believe I've been a patient of Dr. Morelli for ten or more years. He's performed a C-spine surgery on me in which I came out better than new. He's now treating my lower back which requires another major surgery and although I'm nervous I am 100% confident in his knowledge and talent. Bottom line I have full trust in being rebuilt by Dr. Morelli.
I would not recommend this doctor. He seems way too busy to make a proper diagnosis. I saw him for severe hip pain post pregnancy in April and was told I had sacroilitis due to pregnancy. Well one event that lead to the next it turns out I have a very rare bone tumor that was the source of my pain. I am now post op from a major surgery in NYC. Good thing I ended up getting a second opinion and not going for PT like he suggested because my ischium was fractured due to the aggressive tumor and PT would have made my situation much worse. I am a PA and my recommendation would be to not put a young postpartum patient in a box and assume it’s only something related to pregnancy but rule out all other causes and take the patient seriously.
I had two appointments with another doctor at this practice before he referred me to Dr. Morelli for additional evaluation. After I had the recommended MRI for the second time, I was given an appointment for October 8 as a follow up for the doctor to give me the results. When I arrived at the office on October 8, I was told they were out of the office for two weeks. I was never notified that my appointment was canceled and rescheduled for October 22. I double checked my appointment card and it said October 8. When I called the office to inquire about the October 8 appointment, they questioned me on why I thought it was October 8 and I told them I was looking at my appointment card. They knew nothing about it. I am now about 12 weeks into a pain/numbness in my right arm, with no full or definitive diagnosis as of yet… I was told it could be pinched nerve.
Dr. Morelli eased my concerns over my fusion operation, you hear a lot of negative feedback from some people about the procedure but it was the best thing I have ever decided to do! 30 years of constant pain alleviated & I am only 1 month out of surgery!!!!! Thanks again Dr. Morelli !!!
I see Dr. Brian Morelli at Orlin and Cohen and I highly recommend him and the entire team there! I have always received excellent care there, in the office, in xray, and even through surgery at Mather Hospital. My husband also had unbelievable results with a shoulder replacement with Dr. Schrank! Please, if you ever have an ortho problem, do not hesitate to call O & C, and if it's anything involving the spine, be sure to request Dr. Morelli!
Office staff was very friendly and kind even when checking out. Unfortunately Dr.Morelli was lacking bedside manner. Explain to me that my pain is insignificant, talked over me and spoke down to me when addressing my concerns. Told me multiple times he is a surgeon and that my other doctors did not know what they were talking about. Thanked him for his time, tried to shake his hand, he did not even say you’re welcome and just walked right out of the office without acknowledging me after he said what he wanted. Not once during the exam did ask me about what I was feeling and the pain that I am going through or why I was seeing him (besides the obvious car accident I was in.) Maybe he should learn to ask his patients more questions and LISTEN instead of just talking over them during the entire appointment. Do yourself a favor and make sure your not like me. Stick up for yourself in your appointment and tell any Dr you see, if they try to question your pain or medical injury. Make sure they know they can’t tell you how you should feel. I also want to make it clear I was not looking for any kind of medication or SURGERY. I wanted to confirm the treatment path I am on was the right one for my injuries and continue with PT and MT.
I got an appointment fairly quickly. Check in staff were pleasant and I was seen by the doctor in a timely manner. The Dr was not the warm and fuzzy type and I felt as if he was rushed. He gave me a script for an MRI and told me to come back in a week. When I checked out, that person was abrupt. I said that my insurance needed an authorization for an MRI. I was told that somebody from Orlin- Cohen would handle that. That was on 4/1 and its now 4/15 and my ins co told me that nobody has contacted them for an authorization. I have called Orlin-Cohen and you can not get a person on the phone. I even went back to the Bohemia office and was told that the MRI requests come from another office and they would contact them. That was a week ago and nada. I would NOT recommend this practice to anybody. I deal with many doctors and this has been a first.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
