List of Ekta Patel's Reviews
Dr. Ekta Patel is awesome. She was super nice and it felt like I was chatting with a friend rather than a doctor I had just met. She listened to my questions/concerns and was very helpful. I haven't had a PCP in a while so it is great to have a resource now that I can go to if anything comes up
My baby had horrible belly and gas issues from birth. She told me it was my breastmilk and put him on prescription formula. When he was 9 months I brought him to a specialist because it continued. He had a tongue and lip tie. She never looked. My baby had a tortured first 9 months of life because she never checked something so simple. Once they were revised it he was perfectly fine! Could have been avoided!
Very attentive. Did not rush and was very thorough
Client-Patient BEWARE. As a 40y old woman and mom of (2) I've seen my fair share of doctors over the years. This was the first horrible human I met and felt all should be cautious and look elsewhere. Moving past the 45minute wait (with an appointment), let's review the dismissive "it' just stress" communication, the mis-diagnosis of a simple allergy but really focus on the disparaging comments of her colleagues, as I quote "I give my patients more time than others here who may not care as much" ... Wow. Add that with the fact that she unnecessarily recommended an injection *not needed and requested blood work while on antibiotics *that's she prescribed which then made the blood work inaccurate - adding another $100 to the (2) co pay visits ... WOW again. Rude. Dismissive. Unprofessional. Poor (at best) at assessing a medical need and situation. Mis-Diagnosed. And any follow up requested or questions asked, delayed in reply and quite short in doing so. This person does not have your best interest at all and I would challenge their degree as as whole. I realize everyone with a business degree is not always successful, - apparently this is the case with a medical degree as well. Not at all what a person asking help should need to deal with. That said - the SJC Memorial Care facility is amazing. The staff is So Much Nicer. The waits are always communicated accurately (long at times, but at least they manage your expectations and aren't rude in the process). And anyone I've ever seen there (even in UC) has been phenomenal. *This was a fluke trial based on an office recommendation of the facility (not the doctor - she simply was the one "available"). I urge you to put yourself first and avoid. Thank you.
Very personable. It's not often you can say that you actually enjoyed a trip to the doctor but I did. She was very knowledgeable and quickly and expertly took care of the issue I was seeing her for.
Best experience in a medical setting I have ever had. She’s so kind and positive and you can tell she really cares about you, answers questions and helps you get better.
She listens, and answers questions completely. She is very supportive and encouraging.
She was personable, prompt, thorough, and took the time to really dig into my concerns. That said, I will be recommending Dr. Patel to my wife who is also looking for a PCP in the area.
She was thorough, thoughtful, and efficient. She cared about my varied issues.
Thorough and engaging communication. Nice skill in performing a biopsy to be sent to pathology. Medical assistant Dominic and front office staff are really on top of things also.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
