List of Antoine Adam's Reviews
Came from Queens. Heard about this doctor from a family member. Very nice doctor. Is knowledgeable and took his time to explain ADHD.
loyal I have been a patient of Dr. Adam for nearly a decade and am so grateful for the professional help and guidance he continues to provide me with. Upon the very first interaction it's clear how Dr. Adam cares deeply for the well being of his patients and maintaining a dynamic that is inviting, honest, respectful, informative, comfortable, supportive and above all--beneficial. Additionally, Dr. Adam has been extremely understanding and empathic towards additional hardships I've faced over the years and provides professional guidance accordingly. I highly recommend him for ADHD and for those with lots of panic attacks that cannot stop.
I've been seeing Dr. Adams for over a year, and he has been great at listening and keeping up with my life. His appointments are flexible and I would recommend him if you're looking for someone knowledgeable and down-to-earth.
Dr Adam is amazing. My general doctor in and best friend suggested that he see him. He properly diagnosed me with ADHDVery happy that he offers to central locations in the city, as well and a good sense and feeling for art which made this meeting even more comfortable.Great customer service ! Monica at the front desk as very nice and helpful as wellFelt very comfortable
good man I was referred by a good friend of mine who's been getting therapy from Dr Adam. He's a good man and a good doctor. He's also managed to give me an extra of his time to listen to my stories and leading me forward.
I love Dr Adam so much! My life is not the same without him. Life in the city would be impossible without him!!!
I recently moved to New York and needed to see a new psychiatrist and was happy to find Dr. Adam. His office takes great care of their patients and always find time to meet even on a short notice. I'm looking forward to staying a patient for years to come.
CASH ONLY? [certified check or EFT? No credit cards? No personal checks?] UPDATED after Karolina B.'s prompt response 2nd Revision due to Karolina's FALSE ACCUSATION!! I absolutely did not in any way shape or form attempt to intimidate their practice manager. When she told me the policies, she asked if I wanted the appointment, I said, "Not right now, I'll have to do some research, something doesn't sound right about that payment policy, I don't trust that that is a legitimate policy" That was it. I was stunned more than anything else. This is medical care, not botox. It's covered by insurance, therefore the initial evaluation is covered. I did ask how often I would have to see the doctor for refills. Earlier today the website said every 90 days, so I questioned the every 30 days Monika mentioned. It appears they updated the website today to state 30 days. Let me start with the FACTS that were red flags for me, then I'll bore you with the details. Do your due diligence and proceed with caution. 1. This office had SAME DAY availability and many openings in the same week, while all the other Psychiatric practices in the area have no availability and often are not accepting new patients. 2. Payments are "cash only" meaning cash, certified check, or EFT only. No Personal checks, no credit cards-- no paper trail! 3. Initial evaluation is $450 "cash only" and is not submitted to insurance, because "it's a long visit." Supposedly after the evaluation, he will start billing insurance. 4. Website highlights "Computerized ADHD Testing" yet Monika says they don't do that. If you are picking this practice because of services claimed on their website, call to verify. Here's the link to the claim on their website https://www.klein-kraepelin.com/psychiatric-health-care-services/computerized-adhd-testing 5. While their website claims they accept Aetna, CIGNA and Empire BC/BS. I checked with CIGNA, Dr. Adam is not in network. 6. They have lots of 5 star Yelp reviews, for most reviewers Dr. Adam is their ONLY review! No other business, no Restaurants. Some have reviews of Klein-Kraepelin Group also, but that's Dr. Adam too. There is no one at the practice named Klein or Kraepelin. 7. They have an employee dedicated to immediately responding to any negative YELP review. Within minutes of posting my review, I missed a call from their office. A few minutes later "Karolina B." replied to my review. A psychiatric office with an employee who monitors YELP? Boring details I contacted Dr Adam's office because they claim to accept Cigna insurance, Cigna disagrees. I tired to make an appointment for an initial evaluation using their on-line tool. I selected a 6pm appointment for this Wednesday. Later I missed a call from Monika, who followed up with a text asking me to call to make an appointment. When I called, I told her I made an appointment online for 6pm. She told me that was not available, and I asked if 7 would work. I said yes. Then things get weird. She tells me that the initial evaluation is $450 cash and doctor does not accept insurance for that visit because it's a long visit. I have never heard of such a thing. I double checked their website, no mention of this policy. In fact it states "Dr. Adam accepts various insurance plans. He also accepts payments directly." Then he lists what appear to be his direct payment feels. I asked about the computerized ADHD testing mentioned on their website, Monika said they don't do that. I then asked about follow up visits for ADHD medication management, she said I'd have to have monthly appointments, even though their website says every 90 days. The information I received on the phone did not at all align with the information on their website. For a minute I thought I called the wrong number, but I didn't. I cancelled my appointment after digging into their yelp reviews.
Dr. Adam is great. Unlike typical psychiatrists, he listens to you, tries to understand your background and situation, and comes up with a treatment plan for medication management. From the very first appointment, I felt seen, heard, and understood in a way I never had before. Dr. Adam is also very understanding and easy to talk to, and truly cares about his patients. He combines his deep clinical expertise with genuine compassion, and his love of art and complexity of the mind makes him the ideal doctor for creatives. In my twelve years living in New York, I have tried so many doctors and been dismissed, overcharged, and mis-prescribed, but not anymore. If you are struggling with your mental health, definitely see Dr. Adam. I am very happy to have found him.
Dr. Adam provides excellent care. He listens well to make an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. He is friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
