List of Citymd Norwood Urgent Care - Bronx's Reviews
I received great care and was treated with the up most respect and dignity throughout my appointment
I was pleasantly excited to be served and look after at this location on Jerome Avenue (Bronx) compare to my previous experience in Brooklyn/mid Manhattan with CityMD. The staff was on point with questions and customer-service, which was a good change of pace with how busy most urgent care usually are this season. I am happy with my care and I won't only just come back for future visits but I will also continue to carry that positivity throughout the rest of my day with God's grace.
Melody is the best very professional. Her communication skills are excellent
The doctor treated me really poorly as if I had made up my sickness. Not what you want when you are feeling ill. If you are able go to a different urgent care.
Isaiah and Wayne was so nice. very polite they even charged my phone for me. Clean space nice staff very helpful. Thanks guys ♥️
I give two stars for the front desk girl and RN Vanessa. Both friendly and attentive. The MD we seen however, is another story. I took my son there with a fever of 100.4 and a sore throat. MD told me my son’s tonsils were not red and didn’t think it was strep. I had to ask her to repeat herself as my son had his tonsils removed. Absolutely mindboggling how a physician is telling me tonsils that are not there aren’t red of course not! Took my son to another urgent care. Strep confirmed. And given antibiotics.
1 doctor for all the patients. 2-hour visit for a strep and flu test. Should have stayed home.
The team in my opinion were very kind and welcoming and I was in and out quickly. 2nd time there and saw Dr. George Appiah. He was kind and got me the correct meds that are helping me greatly. Thank you!!
Worst ever experience here . I will never have my family treated here . Both my son and my husband went in to be seen for pink eye . While they billed my husband correctly for pink eye for my son since he mentioned he also needed a letter to go back to school they billed him such that he was only here to get cleared for school and my insurance didn’t cover it just because they billed it wrong and I got charged 200 dollars for that one letter they provided when his actual reason was pink eye. I called them and they refused to change billing code even after the note clearly said he was here for a pink eye. Any person going in for any complaint would ask for a note for school or work does that mean you should put that as primary billing code . How stupid . Very money hungry and disgusting people after speaking multiple times on the phone they said they couldn’t do anything. They charged 15 dollars for my husband and 200 dollars for my son and they both went in for pink eye. How stupid . I will advise everyone to stay away from city MD .
Dr Robert Bristow is such an amazing doctor! He's super friendly, kind, professional, caring, knowledgeable! He makes you feel seen, heard, and cared for and that's the most important thing you look for in a doctor! Dr. Bristow very thoroughly explains what's going on with you medically and the instructions for medicine! Thanks Dr. Bristow! The front staff were very kind and pleasant as well! The only thing was there was a very long wait time because they were understaffed (there being one doctor, Dr. Bristow) which is unfair to the hardworking doctors who have to service a whole community by themselves and the community that has to wait long periods of time to be seen. Nonetheless, was seen and the doctor did apologize about the wait time (like I said, doctor has no blame in the situation) and thanked me for being patient. Very clean facility as well, although the water machine needs a cleaning bc there was gunk on the water spout.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
