In 1988, Dr. Shelton closed my gap. My gap opened back. I had to go to another Orthodontist who closed it up again. It opened again. Now, in 2020..I am having 4 front teeth removed to wear instead...A BRIDGE. SIGH .

Well I think he was the best , I had an ingrown front tooth , (never grew) starting to come in at the age of 23 and it was like a little piece of bone peaking out from the back of my other tooth , he was able to have a plan of having it grow in straight and side by side with braces using rubber bands to force teeth to be straight and no overbite , I was thrilled he was professional, gentle and informed me of all of the steps, pricing was at all braces rates.

This guy is a horrible horrible orthodontist. i was his patient about seven years ago. He suggested braces and i paid whatever he told me they gonna cost me. My condition worsened after the treatment and i ended up having many other facial and jaw problems, which can not be corrected or are very risky to fix. The treatment he gave me had very negative effects on my health and i have a very incorrect bite now. I have problems eating or biting and can not sleep at night without pill, because my jaw keeps getting out of place. I would not recommend this orthodontist at all.

I was treated by Dr. Shelton a couple of years ago with Invisalign. I chose him because he offered financing with CareCredit and the price was somewhat lower - I guess I learned that indeed you get what you pay for. He's done a horrible job. Just to emphasize that this is not my own biased outlook on the results - a friend who didn't know I had Invisalign actually suggested a few weeks ago that I do exactly that - get invisalign or braces (we were talking about how to improve our looks and this is the first thing that came when talking about me). During the past year I actually spoke with two orthodontics, and yes, they think I need braces/invisalign, and it's going to cost about the same amount I was trying to avoid the first time. I don't have the money now so I will have to wait with that. I learned my lesson, really choose your orthodontist carefully. Sometimes paying less is paying more.

I am currently in my 8th year after my braces from Dr. Shelton and my smile is still awesome. I have received several compliments on my smile. I recommend his office and his office manager Jazz is great the with finances. SC
