Dr Goldszer never responds to family even wth one little question. I don't recommend this place

I was a patient there for 4 months I was on 4North I got the best care ever there.. the nurses and the tech’s were great..

My husband was provided with home hospice care from Calvary just about a month ago. Their services and attention to details were incomparable. the staff was kind, attentive, supportive and wonderful. We received every and all equipment necessary within hours of him being put on the program. I was able to care for him for a few weeks, until his condition worsened and he was taken to the Dawn Greene Hospice at Mary Manning Walsh Home in Manhattan. There the staff was attentive to his needs, providing him the comfort care he needed until the end. Although he was there for only 8 days, I am so grateful that he received the most compassionate care possible. I was able to sit with him after he passed to say my goodbyes for as long as I wanted. Thank you to all who work for Calvary for the love you display for what you do. I don't believe there is a better place for end of life care than Calvary.

My mother had a very rare cancer and was on home hospice for about two years. Because it was so rare there was not much they could do. When we signed up, my mother was not in severe pain and wanted to stay off of pain medication as much as possible and live her life lucid. This at first was a frustration to the staff and nurses, because end of life and "comfort care," aka drugging up the patient are a good portion of what they have to offer. we were given aides. one did very little except play games on her phone. The second, started out ok, but when I needed extra help toward the end getting my mom up she refused. I dismissed her and she wished me to have a hard time with my mother's end of life right in front of my dying mother. In addition to daily stresses of fighting with nurses to order my mom the supplies she needed for her condition, they did very little to alleviate my stress and hers. When my mom could no longer get up and had to be admitted to the hospital the first full day she was there they gave her no food or drink and again I had to yell at the staff saying I know she is dying but she doesn't have to die of starvation and dehydration. The problem was quickly resolved. When I think of all the added stress Calvary put on the both of us, I can't say I recommend them. My mom battled to stay alive and not drugged up for two years under them. perhaps if she wanted to be drugged up and ready to die this would be the place. If you are interested in living as long as you possible can under a death sentence, this is not the place to be.

This facility has provided top notch care. They have been very responsive and call frequently with updates about the patient. I have been quite pleased.

Everything. The care and love is beyond your highest expectations. My husband spent 11 months there and I couldn’t have asked for more. Starting with the security staff when you walk in to the doctors, nurses, social workers, techs, dietary staff, custodians and volunteers. There isn’t a person who doesn’t greet you with a smile and an encouraging word. God bless this hospital and everyone who works here.
