More than a year ago, when Dr. Jurkowich was still at Pain Solutions, he performed a very difficult procedure on my neck. The results were excellent. I’m so glad to see he is back in this area. His skills are extraordinary and he conveys empathy and caring. I would like to see him where he is practicing now.
Really disappointed that Dr Michael jerkowitz is no longer with pain solutions. He has been a solid and extremely talented doctor thst ive come to rely on. Now he is gone and of course no one will tell me where he had gone.
I really apprecite Dr. Jerkowhich compassion. When you have a chronic illness, a lot of doctors tend to treat you like a drug addict when you ask for pain medication. Dr. Jerkowhich understands that the patient is asking for pain intervention more frequently because the pain is getting worse. And even if he thinks you shouldn't be getting the treatment as frequently, he does so in a compassionate manner. He doesn't dismiss your concerns and doesn't indicate that things are getting better because you are not doing your part. He understands that patients wont always get better and does not take it as an attack on himself personally.
He was the best Doctor that was there but he is not there anymore so they should take his name off the website. I have been trying to find out where he is now because he is a great doctor as a patient he made me very comfortable and to just know i was in good hands. If anyone knows what office he is at now i sure would like to know.
Best doctor i ever had wish my insurnace never swiched ,All the best doctor J
I brought my mother to see him for a sciatica problem. He didn't even examine her and suggested that she needed 3 steroid injections followed by spine joint injections. I wanted to understand more and he said that's what he does and that's what she needed. I am an educator so i read a great deal before deciding anything. I also wanted to understand his qualifications. My friends told me to make sure the doctor was Medically Boarded in the specialty first. He told me he was boarded n PRM and Pain but, His office staff in Forest Hills said he was certified in Physical Medicine?. They didn't know about the pain medicine. They thought so but..I don't see it with the Department of health, where other doctors credentials are listed. I think he was not honest with us. Anyway,..i also think he just wants to inject patients as many times as possible and I don't think he is state certified to do these procedures. ADVICE: Go to someone who tells you options clearly and is credited or Boarded. Avoid doctors who are just out to make thousands of dollars just to inject you or your loved ones. oh..FYI mom did have an injection..just ONE, from another doctor who had several board certifications including in pain. (I checked NYS Education department,) and she feels great. No need for anything more except exercise.
