List of Othon Wiltz's Reviews
Caring. Professional. Highly knowledgeable. He Calls you and returns calls. Checks on u. Did my 2 colon surgeries. Very grateful for him. Saved my life.
He lead the treatment of my colon-rectal cancer in 2010 and performed the surgery to remove the tumor area. He later performed a reverse Ileostomy to restore the digestive tract.
Dr. Wiltz is highly skilled, compassionate, and answers questions clearly and completely.
I was referred to Dr Wiltz. When he entered the examining room, he put on his continuous smile and sat on a stool very close to my face. He repeatedly asked what was wrong with me. Finally, I said, "I am a lawyer. You are the doctor. I don't know what is wrong with me. The best I can offer is to describe my symptoms accurately (which I was attempting to do)". I explained that a surgeon who previously operated on me said I might have an internal prolapse. Dr W responded that if I had a prolapse(s), I would know, because it would be hanging out of my rectum. His charge for the initial visit of $566 or so, exclusive of the charge for an exam procedure, was the highest I have incurred. Fortunately, I have good health insurance. After my visit with Dr Wiltz, another specialist had me undergo a defecography diagnostic procedure. During the follow-up visit, he stated, "Your description of symptoms fit to a "T" the results of the procedure." In addition, the radiologist's report identified internal prolapse(s).
I was sad to see that he moved away from Northern Virginia. Dr. Witz was amazing. I was 36 years old with a 2 year-old and out of nowhere I learned I needed immediate surgery for cancer. Dr. Wiltz helped me laugh through a very stressful and upsetting situation. He fit me into his schedule the same week I was diagnosed. He and his staff were caring and understanding and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, he saved my life so my kids (now 6 and 3) are able to have a mom! :)
I was lucky enough that he was able to fit me in the same day. I was scared and his office, in particular his assistant, Evelyn, took the time to ease my anxiety and explained everything that may happen during the office visit. Dr. Wiltz was all smiles with a great sense of humor. He made a very uncomfortable situation tolerable. He was wonderful and I fully trust him with my rectum! I was shocked that the rude family below (who's not even from Fl) would give this fabulous doctor a poor rating.
I would recommend Dr. Othon Wiltz because he gives above average attention to his patients. And, even though I do not need surgery he still took the time to come up with a plan of action to manage my condition. The office staff are wonderful. Dr. Wiltz visited me in the emergency room. He smiled and reassured me that he personally reviewed the CT scan. I was going to be alright. Dr. Wiltz showed up the following day in the hospital room. He cares about his patients and it shows.
great service and very caring provider
Horrible doctor cancelled my mom's cancer surgery at last second, even after cardiologist provided timely clearance.
He got me in immediately when I was in a lot of pain and made it go away

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
