List of Simon Rosenberg Dmd's Reviews
The receptionist gave the impression that Dr. Rosenberg was in an in- network dentist with my provider. He was not! I found out after being billed $3459.00 for a crown. If you scroll down you will see that I am not the only patient who has had this problem. The problem revolves around the word "participate." The statement that they participate with your provider is inadequate. It gives the impression, right or wrong, that they are in-network. You must qualify if they participate as an in-network dentist or as an out-of-network dentist. If they are out of network, run for the hills. Their prices are unbelievable. Actually even if they are in-network you would be wise to avoid this practice. There are plenty of dentists in NY where can you get good care at a reasonable cost.I would never go this office again.
Quick service, you don't have to wait around for the Dr to come see you after your teeth has been cleaned by the dental hygienist- he comes in and inspects your teeth right away. A cleaning appointment takes less than an hour and this location even has extensive COVID-19 measures in place to make a customer feel safe. You even get a goodie bad with floss, chapstick, toothpaste and a toothbrush-love the extra goodies!
This is an easy review to write after my annual cleaning and exam. My wife and I and our adult children have been Dr. Rosenberg's patients for about 10 years. We live on Long Island, and it is an hour's drive or hour-and-a-half train ride to get there. We switched to Dr. Rosenberg after our long-time local dentist seemed to lose his edge and interest, and we demand excellence in health care - no exceptions. Dr. Rosenberg is about as high-tech as it gets. It's a small office with the most modern equipment, even including the machine that images your mouth and makes prosthetics on the spot. His deep knowledge come from years of experience and teaching dentistry. When he needs to, he has referred us to the most excellent oral surgeons and other dental specialists, with whom he has a relationship. His compassion and care for patients is boundless. After a recent surgery during the Covid pandemic, my wife had serious dental problems, and Dr. Rosenberg spent many visits with her on tele-med and communicated effectively. Regarding Covid and safety, this is the only dental office I would visit. The entrance is directly from the street - no lobbies, halls or elevators. There are high-tech air-purifiers in every room, safety plastic between patients and office, and the staff wear full PPE. The rooms, furniture and equipment are sanitized in between every patient, and you will have a sense of safety and well-being when you are there. As a result of all this, his patients come from all over.
Dara is so great. Highly recommend.
I cannot begin to describe how frustrated I am with this practice. I visited for a cleaning early this year and had a pleasant experience. I was surprised that the doctor did my entire cleaning, and didn't floss me, but didn't worry about it (though I should have ask why no floss). The entire visit was 20 minutes including lots of breaks for him to chat with the receptionist. Then, they billed $500 for the 20 minute cleaning, no x-rays. That is far, far above standard billing amounts for a standard cleaning and exam. The only small thing I'll give them is that they were out of network, though I didn't realize that until after my cleaning. They also didn't tell me, which is common practice as a courtesy to patients.Instead of telling me and giving me the opportunity to cancel, they billed the max they were allowed on my insurance. Once I found this out, I called them and they refused to change their billing. Had the insurance company approved their entire bill, I would not have any coverage left for a second cleaning. My annual max coverage was $500 - more than enough for 2 visits - and yet they billed that entire amount, not even including x-rays, purely to get as much money back from the insurance as possible. Because of their money-grabbing business practices, I don't have enough insurance left for a full cleaning and x-rays for the rest of this year. This is despicable, horrible behavior and shouldn't be allowed.
Just had my first appointment with Dr. Rosenberg and staff, and I am very happy. There was absolutely no wait time, front desk staff were super efficient. Hygienist did a thorough and efficient clean. Highly recommended.
I would have given a higher rating, but he messed up at the end. I moved out of the area and asked for my dental records. I was emailed a couple of X-Rays. That's it. Nothing that was in writing - diagnoses, suggested procedures, etc. I can't help but wonder why not. Is he unsure of his diagnoses and doesn't want the subsequent dentist to see them? Did he recommend a procedure such as a wisdom tooth extraction that wasn't really necessary?? Dental records to me goes further than a couple of X-Rays. I was very disappointed. If you do select Dr. Rosenberg to be your new dentist, or if he is your current dentist I'd ask him to put in writing that, in the event you leave, he will send you your FULL dental records. p.s. - The hygienist is great!
Excellent service. Very professional and friendly. Always a pleasure to come in. Highly recommend.
The service is horrible just to make an appointment they had me on the phone for over two hours
I am extremely happy with dental services provided by Dr. Rosenberg and his Dental hygienists! The staff has shown a strong level of professionalism and courtesy. All the best! KM

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
