The nurses are great. However, manager Clarabel and the schedulers, are the WORST. They are not on track with scheduling. If a nurse calls out they do not reassign the cases to another Nurse. THE PROBLEM is they are low on staff. WHY DON'T THEY HIRE MORE NURSES? WHY DON'T THE HAVE NURSES ON STANBY. I've asked to speak to the Manager or scheduler several times. Til this day I have not received a call. The appointments have been dropped without prior notice. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE IGNORED by management
The VNS helped my aging brother stay in his home. The nurse assigned him a home health aide, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist and a social worker. Because of Medicare restrictions the social worker helped us arrange for extended home health care and meals on wheels. They all work so hard. Thank you so much.
we used this company for hospice for my aunt who was dying and had a few days more to live. their nurse came to assess her. she spent so much time talking to us, she failed to call in the medical supplies needed to relieve her pain. my aunt died before my eyes screaming in excruciating pain because visiting nurse services of ny failed to provide the medication needed - the morphine, which the dr had prescribed for her pallative care of end of life to reduce the intense pain she was in. do you know what is like to sit there with someone you love so much, and are supposed to have medication to alleviate the pain, which is the point of hospice, and watch someone screaming of pain before your eyes and then seem them just die in front of you from pain with a look of agony on their face? i will be doing a lot more about this debacle and it has a lot to say about the failed health care system in this country. this does not happen in any european country trust me - i have friends who live abroad and this is not how people are treated when they are sick and dying. this is unqiue American problem - the rich get the right healthcare provided for them, while the poor do not. my aunt was on medicaid. do not use this company unless you want to see your loved one die in pain. the medication arrived 11 hrs after the jabbering nurse was at my apt assessing my aunt. 11 hrs to have the medication delivered to the upper west side of manhattan near 96th and broadway - the easiest part of town to get to. people should rise up about this country's health care system, our pay, our living standards and not live by the red or the blue but live as one dealing with the same problems and suffering every day with one of the richest countries in the world that is failing it's own population every day. this has been one of the worst experiences of my life - my father died 3 years ago, but his hospice was set up properly probably because he has money. goes to show how the poor are treated - do not go with this agency under any circumstances. your loved one will not be taken care of.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
