Barry Kanner's Online Review Report Card

First my experience started off with a mix up with my appointment. So I had to rush there straight after work because of their mix up. I then had to wait 45 minuets just to get seen. Dr. Kanner had poor bedside manor coming from someone who works in the health care field my experience should have been a bit more pleasant. I felt very rushed. My procedure was very uncomfortable to begin with. I didn't receive any discharge instructions or after care. I will not be returning to their office.

Dr. Kanner and his team were excellent. I'm actually surprised by the negative comments! I had to get a HSG exam done and I was so scared for weeks I gave myself anxiety I kept thinking the worst I watched YouTube videos which made it worse I don't reccomend watching anything on YouTube. Anyway I arrived at the office the nurse and x-ray tech talked to me on how everything was gonna be done, they gave me a gown and a warm robe then brought me to the room and Dr. Kanner came in and explained the procedure to me he played music and both the nurse and X-tech along with Dr. Kanner performed the HSG exam very fast I was shocked b/c the anxiety I had while waiting to get it done was not worth it. The test itself was not painful it was just a little uncomfortable but nothing painful at all Dr. Kanner was very proffecinal worked fast b/c I was so stressed he explained the results to me when it was done and it was over and I was relieved, I was so embarrassed b/c on how stressed I was and I had so many questions to ask and Dr. Kanner answered every question I had to ask and was so patient with me. I highly recommend him and his team.

I had a thyroid biopsy performed by Dr Kanner. He was professional, compassionate, played music I wanted and listened to (and acted on) my concerns.

No apology or explanation offered for being late. Once he was actually in the room with me (which was a full hour after my appointment time) he took a cell phone call and was gone for another ten minutes. There was also confusion about what exactly should be biopsied so when my Dr. called with the results she didn't understand why Dr. Kanner hadn't biopsied the left side in addition to the right. Why am I caught in the middle of this? If there was any question, why not call and talk to one another? Bottom line: the biopsy was a complete waste of time - he was unsuccessful in getting any actual cells so that I could get a diagnosis.
